Exhaust Tips

I am trying to find the correct size to order. I currently have the jun bl exhaust and not sure if they are 2.5 or 2.0 inches.

If I should order 51mm or 61mm in and 89 mm out, any assistance is appreciated.

Borla is 2.5 inches and it's actually 54mm not 61mm. The best thing to do is take an actual measurement yourself.

so they lie when they say 2.5"?

@Hacksaw907 @stEgr @JoeMQ Can you guys post pictures of your tips on the exhaust? From what I gather, we all have the Borla exhaust. I'm curious how you positioned the tips to fit on the 51mm portion of the pipes before they expand to 57mm (see pic below). Did you stagger them or are they the same length? How far do the tips stick out versus stock?

Here’s a top down view for reference, i tried to mimic the stock look which has them angled following contour. I moved them out maybe an extra inch for looks and logo.

Ordered the 57mm which as we now know are one size bigger so I used exhaust wrap to make up the difference.

These are the measurements I got when I measured the exit of my Borla cat back. The exhaust pipes are 2.5" all the way through until the final parts at the end. The ends that go through the stock tailpipes are necked down to 2" (51 mm).

I don't understand. 2.5" should be 63mm, not even 57mm.

OK - Borla's website says that the S-Type cat back system is a 2.25" (57 mm) pipe. Not sure where 2.5" (63.5 mm) came from.:whistle:

Got it. Mistery solved! :)

That thing is bigger than the model identification. I hate when dealerships do that. I had a rather ugly/large one on my car when I bought it. It was gone on day 2 of ownership.
I made them get it off before I would take delivery.

Off topic, but you should have seen my car when I picked it up. It looked like the dealer was a race sponsor: vinyl of their website across the top of the back window, vinyl of their dealership on the rear by the small Stinger badge, dealer tag on the front, dealer tag frame on the rear. Needless to say - that all came off the first weekend.

Installed the Akrapovic oval tips on my Borla exhaust this morning. After a short test drive, I am extremely happy with how much this change has eliminated the in-cabin noise of the exhaust. Really game changing; no drone, no reverb, and you can clearly hear the noise exiting the back of the car.

This is a total game changer for the performance / comfort balance.

Love your set-up! I'm planning on going your route as well with the Borla exhaust, oval tips and no akraprovic logo. Just want to make sure, no cutting was required right?

Thanks! You are correct, no cutting needed for these oval tips (105 x 75 mm). They fit through the stock openings with plenty of clearance.

Did these come with no logo? Or did you remove it? What method?

These came without any logo. The seller had an option to leave them off, so I did.
