Hi everyone,

looking for some input / knowledge sharing on tires... It may have been discussed and therefore if so, please point me out to the right thread, I have used the search button but didn't find what I was looking for.

Find locally a very good price for some Firemax 805 winter tires and now I am thinking to use my OEM 19 wheels as my winter set and get myself some nice summer rims next season.

The tires are 245/45/19, which are a bit "bigger" than what the oem specs calls for.

A little wider and taller but in the snow, those should be good things...

has anyone have this set up squared before ?

my Rims are staggered, would it be an issue to run those tires at the back as well ?

newbie questions here, any insight will help me understand better:):)

Yes, I ran this setup squared, no issues.

oh really??

well that was quick !! haha

245/45 ,even on the back ? I know the rim is wider and I never had staggered rims before so this is unknown territory.
Do you have any picture of that set up, curious to see how they look

thanks for the quick Reply Mac!

Yes, even on the back. The rear wheels are only 1/2 inch wider than the front, so you don't really notice anything when looking at them. These tires are taller, o your speedo will be off a little, but that is all.

I don't run this setup anymore. I switched to aftermarket wheels at 255/35/19 all around.

Good to hear !
Here is the issue someone just told me I would run into ...
since the tire thread is asymmetrical , I would only be able to swap the tires/wheel front to rear ... BUT since we have staggered oem rims, I couldnt put the rear rims are the front, right ? so the tires will always stay as they are during every winter season - not idea how good/bad it is for thread wear - Still need some expertise being shared here

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Correct, the stock rear wheels won't fit on the front

so options :
  1. are leaving the tire on the rims and not rotate them ... would that mean extensive wear ?
  2. taking the tire off the rims two season in and have them mounted front-rear swap?
  3. move from this tire thread to something I am able to swap side to side
again, thanks for the inputs !
