With the temperature getting cooler during the night I have been finding TONS of condensation on my car in the morning. I don't have access to a garage so obviously it's been outside every night. I don't want to have to wipe down the car every morning after I get to work. I know this is a really bad idea already with pushing around dust and dirt into the paint. I have a few options that I could do. I could cover the car every night (Tedious). I could let it be and take care of it during my weekly was of the car however that will leave water spots on it for an entire week which isn't ideal. Is there a safe way to wipe clean that back deck that collects water? I use water-less car-wash already so maybe I could do a quick wipe down in the morning after I get to work?

I'm open to any tips to help solve this and keep my stinger looking good. Thank you.

A 2x3' microfiber drying towel, applied before any of the condensation dries, will wick up everything. Keep a couple in your hatch at all times, and a couple more in reserve so that you can swap them out after each use. Wash them often, keep them CLEAN. This, coupled with a Cali Duster, will be the best assurance that you won't be soaking up dusty condensation. So, last thing before bed, dust off your car. First thing before driving, blot the water up (you just lay the microfiber down and pat it, don't move it around, even if your paint is dust free; it's just better insurance against swirling to not move drying towels laterally; on the sides, I hang the drying towel down the side of the car by holding the upper edge with one hand, and patting the towel with the free hand; work in towel-sized sections: good exercise too!:D).

I have had some mornings where the entire car is covered in condensation. From bumper to Bumper which I have been meaning to take a picture of. I have a 2007 Accord I drove before this and I have never seen it (Or maybe I just didn't notice because it was covered in $7000 of hail damage anyways). I have a stack of microfiber I keep in the car with some lubricating spray/cleaner I use in case I need to clean something off in between washes. I'm tempted to move to an apartment that has a garage attached. I am hoping this is just going to happen around the summer/fall transition and it isn't something I have to deal with year round.

Use a super hydrophobic wax/coating. Ceramic coating or hybrid ceramic wax (sio2).

the act of driving in the morning will roll off 90% of it. Just dry off at the destination.

The trouble with this "lazy" way ;) is that you get dried water spots. It is inevitable.

You've covered your options. Deal with it every morning, or don't. Ceramic or wax will make any spots easier to deal with long-term.

Park on a hill :):p

As you said in your post, get a place with a garage.

Electric rechargeable leaf blower will do the trick, keep it in the boot & I will be on hand whenever & wherever you are.

Not sure what the neighbours would say about using a leaf blower early in the morning. Good idea though at other times.

If your neighbours suck, then bugger em, fire that bad boy up at 5am.

I had a similar issue at my apartment complex. I actually had a reserved covered parking spot so it wasn't morning dew that was plaguing me. Instead it was the complex's damn sprinklers. They would activate 3 times a week between 5-6am. It would spray the back 1/4 of my car or more depending on wind. Definitely hard water up here in DFW and triple digit temps during the day so the water spots were there by the time I left for work. I finally got tired of the constant detailing before I went to work and opted for a garage. I'm paying $90 more a month but it's just in time for the inclement weather that Fall and Winter bring. Lease is up in January at which point I'll be moving into a house.

You know what is really annoying about forced air machines (aka blowers)? Aside from the noise? You chase water across a surface, and at the very end it dries, leaving spots. How ceramic, et al. surface treatment products affects this natural phenomenon, I couldn't say.

If my neighbor was outside at 6am running a leaf blower simply to dry off his car, I know where I would be blowing all my leaves come November....

The reality is that if you (like me) don't have a garage and are subject to routine condensation forming on your vehicle, the best thing to do is just not worry about it and drive the car so that it air dries. If you have a real change in seasons, those water droplets will eventually be a layer of frost, and you'll need a hairdryer to go along with the leaf blower. Best thing to do is just make sure that the car is well protected with whatever sealant, film, wax, etc., that you are using.

Best thing you can do is let it be.
Next time you wash it, add some of this at the end of the wash and it will ensure no water spotting will be left after air drying. Been using it with the excellent results for 2 years.

No spots on mine, it’s had protective coating.
