Proud owner of a 2018 Gt2 here. Love my stinger but I’m having some issues with my Michelin tires. My two front tires are chunking. The rears are fine. I have about 18000 miles on the tires but the tread is absolutely fine.
Has anyone experienced this? Anyone know what the manufacturer warranty is on the tires? I will contact my dealer but curious if anyone has heard or experienced this?

Explain chunking for us laymen please... 18k miles seems like a lifetime for these tires.

The Michies have a tendency to do this I went thru 2 sets on a previous car and my sons Sorento's tires are starting to do the same ...................I never will buy them again , swapped the OEMs on delivery ........

Warranty on Pilot Sport is 30K treadlife; cut in half for staggered rims. "Chunking", I presume, is lifting tread in sections. I experienced that on the front tire, left side, outer edge, after some "spirited" cornering, after 22K miles: replaced them last week.

The same: only Sport 4 are no longer available; so I put Sport 4S on, front and rear; the rears have c. 4K miles more than the fronts.

An expensive one, at that. Michelins are pricey. But I didn't want to move to something else. I've looked over the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 UHP summer tires several times: I think that is what I'll try next, if I don't stick with Pilot 4S. A lot less expensive going with the Firestone.

I'd go with Nittos, but I don't they make a summer tire that fits.

One of the members here has the Nitto INVO tires. I’m thinking of those for next time.
Now that I think about it, that member has 20’s

Right. I don't see 19" rims listed for the size tire I use. On the OE rims, the Motivos fit just fine. They're wider than the Pilot Sport. So the TSW "Watkins" rims I have for summer tires (already a very close fit in front) are a questionable fit. I can solve this question by asking "my" tire guys. :P
