Well, the springs went on a couple of weeks ago and I'm a little disappointed. I've got an AWD GT, and man I'm bottoming out the front suspension over all sorts of stuff that I really shouldn't be. Every little pothole BANG, The front suspension bottoms out, a smooth rise that can't be more than 1" and it'll happen.

Any AWD cars running into this issue? Any AWD running H&R or other springs that AREN'T running into this issue?

General impression is that the Eibachs are way too soft. Do we have spring rates recorded anywhere?

I’m awd and don’t have that issue. My drop wasn’t even close to the advertised 1.4”. Only about 1” in the front. Did you (or the shop) properly cut the bumpstops to the correct length? They were not the same front/rear.

Can confirm, didnt cut my bumpstops and ran into the same issue.. I will be taking apart to cut them and retry it

Thanks @nhcowboy28 , I know they cut the bumpstops and we discussed it several times but I haven't seen them myself to know if they were cut correctly.

I didn't measure before and after but my front does seem to be sitting pretty low.

No issue here and my front looks like it sits lower than yours. If they trimmed your bumpstops by the 30mm Eibach recommends for the front there is no way you should bottom out. I bet they missed it entirely.

Just do the fronts. I didn't cut my rear bumpstops and have not bottomed out once. They're also much easier to access than the front if there ever is an issue.

ARK GT-S springs don't require any bump stops to be cut, I'm in Ottawa and we have shitty roads, never bottomed out yet at least with my car.

The other thing to have the shop check is the tension of the top hat. If it's too tight it can compress your spring and cause you to bottom out. I have about a 1/2 inch of thread sticking up above the nut on each side.

You can easily check yourself by lifting the rubber grommet under the hood and taking a measurement.

Edit: thinking about this some more, i'm not sure it would cause you to bottom out. It would likely just make noise. Still worth checking.

Thanks everyone, it’s already going into the shop next week to try to resolve my clicking endlinks, I’ll discuss the bumpstops with them again

Did you get this resolved? Curious if it ended up being the bumpstops?

I haven't discussed it with the shop yet, still working on getting the Whiteline endlinks tightened down to the point that they stop clicking ;) . I'm about to weld those bitches together.

I've also been dodging every pothole I see (which admittedly is much easier with springs, sways and endlinks ;) so I haven't experienced it since I complained about it above. Ottawa has really bad roads this year, even the potholes that have been patched this year have now caved in and are as bad as they were before, I don't know what sort of incompetency is running our infrastructure but it's getting very frustrating.

This statement could not be more TRUE! All funds going to LRT I guess?!

FWIW I am on Eibachs as well and I do not experience any bottoming out at all. Installed them myself so I know the bumpstops are cut correctly.
