Now available right here in the forum store: Mando ECS10 Suspension Control For Kia Stinger - Kia Stinger dot com

Hi everyone

Mando is apparently making (and selling) a module to customize our (and G70s) electronically controlled suspension through a bluetooth interface. Here are some images of the interface:

It seems like you can set several custom modes and adjust the stiffness and handling characteristics differently according to the vehicule speed.

It is currently for sale already.
(No Mishimoto teasing here!!!)

I can't wait to test drive it.
From the very short feedback that I got, the setting range is quite wide.(or wider than one would expect)

:geek:

PS: For those who do not know, Mando is a big korean OEM supplier that make vehicule components for many big car makers, and that make a large part of our cars.

That's very interesting. How does this control the ECS? OBD? Sensors? Also, I wonder if it is "safe" enough that you can't push the suspension beyond it's limits?

Incredible!!!! Especially if it is affordable.

Now that is exciting! I know from experience when my ECS module conked out briefly that there is a lot more adjustment available in that adaptive suspension than used in the preset driving 'modes'.

Looking forward to more info on this!

I got quoted 400 bucks with labor, but I have no idea how much margin the US/CA/AU resellers will take on top of it.

What hardware is required, and how does it connect?

Do you know how it works? Where/what is the control module that the phone/Bluetooth is communicating with? Something needs to get installed physically unless they have hacked into the car's own control system (which they very well might know how to do if they have that close supplier relationship with Hyundai/KIA, or, they may even be the supplier of the OEM parts!!).

This is great!

Do you have more details @xot1 ? Equipment/hardware used. Installation requirements, etc.

Super interested in this! Please keep us updated!

Very interesting, and exciting. Gives me hope there could be more software related mods in the coming years.

I forgot to mention that Mando is the exact same company that manufactures our suspension, including the stock ECS module. So do not worry about compatibility issues here. :D

It does not require an OBD2 connection.
That's good to hear - won't interfere with ODBC reliant tuning options.

This is the Google translation for those lines of Korean:

I'd be willing to learn a little Korean for this.

Lol....same here. I was just asking for the sake of making the product even more appealing. ;)

No language setting in the app, yet.
But if there is demand, no reason not to add it.
There are very few words to translate.

Those are the cleanest white gloves ever... Now if I could only read Korean, but all I know are words associated with various joint locking techniques... Not much help here.
