• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Who’s the oldest Stinger owner in Australia!

We all have stories: Not in AU but I'm 81. Last year my wife went to visit our daughter over Memorial Day, left on Friday, returned on Tuesday. Home alone with nothing to do. Had my eye on the Stinger and started looking on the internet. Long story short, found the color/trim combination I was looking for. negotiated all day Saturday over the phone and internet and picked it up on Sunday. Wife still did not not know... Glad she liked the color red/red. Still seems new to me and I'm not looking around for something younger. Married 60 years with 45 cars under my belt. This could be the best yet.

Late to the party but turning 50 this year. So still in my late forties. Just..

What was your wife 's reaction when you showed her your Stinger ?
My hubby's midlife crisis was to get a Harley, but he did ask me first.Being he's always been a Sports bike guy I was puzzled, anyway , he had it for a year, got it out of his system and returned to type. Now his pride and joy is next to my pride and joy in the garage it's his Ducati.

What Ducati does your husband have. I am a two wheeled fan too. I have a Yamaha MT09.

He has a Ducati 1299 Panigale, he did have an Aprillia Tuono 1100 factory that he sold interstate and he gave me the money towards my Stinger, he's a wonderful hubby :D how long have you been riding ? he's had motorbikes on and off since he was 19.

Very nice. Only the best I see. I have been riding since I was 21 so similar to your hubby. I did have a Ducati a few years back. A 900 Monster.

She loves all the complements she gets when she is driving it. She had the same reaction when she had the 1998 Vette a few years back. Same color.

One of hubby's mates has a bike just like yours. Damn shame you don't live over here, once a year he goes to Tassie with a few of his mates, they just cruise on the beautiful roads over there and stay overnight at pubs. The locals are really friendly and the police are very laid back, he loves it.
As the weather warms up we want to get some Stingers together and go for some drives locally.

You will be able to buy a new one here next year.
For base price $80k+, nah, hubby would be beside himself, I love my Stinger, but if I won Tatts.......

Yes it would be great to ride some of the roads over in Victoria and Tasmania. We have the weather here but you guys have the better roads. The MT09 is a great bike.
