BMS states that mileage is unaffected by the JB4 when you drive easy and stay out of boost. I thought I'd put it to the test.
I photographed my trip MPG after every morning commute last week. My commute is ~43mi, and I stop at Buc'ees every morning for a breakfast taco, perfect time to snap a pic!
Every trip was done on Map2 in ECO mode, 93 octane.
This consists of 5mi stop-and-go traffic, 5mi high-speed tollway (go 90 or you're getting passed), and 30mi of medium traffic highway (avg 60-75).
As you can see, BMS is telling the truth; stay out of boost and the JB4 will not kill your mileage.
NOTE: I only tracked morning commutes because:
1) traffic is more consistent in the am, and
2) I cannot behave myself in the afternoon, and MPG suffers greatly.

26.4 MPG = 8.91 L/100 km
29.0 MPG = 8.11 L/100 km
28.7 MPG = 8.20 L/100 km
30.0 MPG = 7.84 L/100 km
28.3 MPG = 8.31 L/100 km
(EDIT: added communist unit conversions for the Aussies)
