• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Pictorial where did you go in your Stinger today

A day down the south coast of NSW last Thursday.

Went to Brighton (end of Big Cottonwood canyon) and hiked up to Twin Lakes: so-called because when the reservoir is low, it returns to its undammed self and sinks to two smaller lakes. Obviously, this year is top level. I've never seen it this high before. Even the spillway was employed. Dropbox - VID_20190723_161500.mp4 - Simplify your life

The trail is very scenic. Here's a view of Silver lake and Brighton.

And a place I call the "aspen cathedral"
aspen cathedral july19.webp The Stinger was as I left her, in spite of the Merc SUV that pulled in close to my right side, to take advantage of a "No Parking" sign on his right side. He figured that a spiff car like a Silky Silver guarding his driver side was good insurance. But it annoyed me. Because he was parked in a "No Parking" space in order to park on my right side. Heh!? Some people's kids.

The fact you posted that someone had parked illegally I took it that it must have irked you somewhat. I've never interfered with anyone else's car either.

Irked, I was. But no harm was done so I let it go (once I got it out in a story, that's the final cathartic exercise. :P)

Meet & Cruise yesterday through the mountains of the ACT & a visit to the Deep Space Tracking Station.

Some good shots there.

Do any strangers ask, "What's up with all the cars that look the same?"
No, I think most people realise they are “massed produced”...but you do get a lot of looks when in a group of this size.
Funny side story, while we were all about to leave the Deep Tracking Space Station a group of Aston Martins arrived & it was funny watching them watching us leave.

Lol. Not what I meant: "What are all you guys with the same car doing? Is this some kind of club?" You know; if single "What is that?" questions get asked, I'd expect at least some piqued interest when fourteen Stingers show up all at once.

I don't think Aussies ask so many questions they just admire the fact they are all there at same time and put 2 and 2 together, we are a smart bunch. Lol

Lol, you get a lot of looks especially when driving on the freeway in a conga line which looks really impressive.
A lot of places we went were pretty quiet but a few people did some walk by’s but personally none stop to talk to me about them.

How did you guys find the run out to the tracking station? The climb up the hill until you reach Corin and beyond is a nice run, you get up above 1km above sealevel (but to counter the elevation, it would have been cold I imagine!).

Weather was nice & comfortable, fluctuating from 12-16C most of the day.
The climb up the hill for me was great, Eibach Sways, Whiteline HD Endlinks & Sport Mode set + a wider footprint this thing ate the curves with ease & demanded more, I’m loving this, it’s perfect for me & it’s now the complete package.

Drove up to the top of Big Cottonwood canyon and hiked to the highest lake, Lake Katherine; its the fullest I have ever seen it. Still some snow pack, which is also highly unusual; we had a good winter.

Simply gorgeous! But I could never keep things organized and standing up inside the hatch. It all ends up scattered everywhere - dunno why. Heh.
