Drag/Acceleration The Official 1/4 mile track thread.

Haha I'll work on it but honestly the basic cut off switch works so well... I wonder if there will be enough of a benefit with JB4 integration to justify it. The boost by gear settings on the JB4 will be more useful now though for AWD cars to limit boost during brake boosting when traction is subpar! :)

To me just operating the switch from the phone increases the convenience and the cool factor by 1000%, popping the hood every time to switch it is too ghetto, I will leave that for the Honda guys. I am one who will definitely is going to integrate the wire into the JB4 wiring loom for that complete OEM look. If I have to put a switch, I will have to place it right next to the exhaust valve switch inside the car and I prefer not having another two wires going through the grommet.

If you have no intention of integrating it in the JB4, let us know so we don't wait.

Short answer is we'll see. If there is demand we can make it happen on the JB4 end.

For now I'm curious to see how well this simple approach works in terms of improving launches and allowing burn outs before runs.

and axles. I feel like I have the right set up for this awd 285s ps4s. But I'm not sure I have the courage.

Being able to pre-load the system by brake boosting is normally safer for axles actually. It's the sudden shock (like, an MT clutch drop at peak torque) that normally does them in.

There is demand. Always is for integration of things like this. Do it :-)

Yeah, I'm totally down for integrating, something like the fuel wire cables you're working on. I'm sure this connector would be a bit harder to track down, but I'd REALLY love to do a plug swap here, and/or jb4 integration and not have to cut a factory wire. I'm just OCD like that.

Can jb4 monitor various settings in the car? For example, I think subarus used to be able to monitor rear defroster via obd2 (canbus? K-line?). Can you also detect traction control settings / driving mode in the jb4?

What would be IDEAL is, if traction control is disabled (stage 2) AND we push the rear defroster switch, jb4 disconnects the brake switch for ~60 seconds, or until we hit rear defroster again.. Something like that would be AMAZING, and I'd pay another $100 for it..

I think this one would be a wire cut either way, we don't have access to ECU connectors for the car. If we did we could route all JB4 connections through the ECU connectors which would be clean.

Awesome work. Easy 11.6s on pump gas when it cools down!

Seems to be working

The torque converter flashes up to around 3000rpm. This is either the record setting 11.80 run or an earlier 11.9 run, not sure which log is which run. He only was able to make two runs today due to crowds and long wait times.
