Im experimenting with the idea of using user adjustable map 6 to help me out over a mile above sea level to help drop my 60' times. The goal here is to see if by using map 6 and setting the boost higher at lower rmps i could launch harder with the AWD GT.

Im trying this to see if it produces a lower 60' then 2.13 results i get maps 1 and map 5. Remember Altitude is the power robbing factor im dealing with not traction issues.

Any suggestions for what to set the boost levels at ? Im running map 5 so i figured I start with 6 psi over stock.
Should I use flat boost across the entire rpm range or do a bell curve for boost like below ?

I’m interested in this as well. I don’t have the altitude issue but I couldn’t beat a 2.0 60’ at the track but had no issues with traction.

Hopefully Terry Can chime here to see what map 6 can help with.

I'm currently playing with Map 6 because after reviewing Map 1 and Map 2 logs, I don't think our octane is good enough to run Map 2 maxed out. I'm basically building Map 1.5, based on values seen in the logs. I have an upward taper from 1500 to 2500 because I don't want LSPI issues, then it is flat 4 PSI until 6000 where I taper down 0.5 PSI per 500rpm. I haven't fully logged but I think it was 5PSI for me that was just a tad high, so hoping 4PSI will get the ignition timing values a little higher.

Have you considered reaching out to some of folks in Canada that are running the RaceChip? There are more than a few of them that are running in “Race Mode” which, from what I can gather, is close to the performance levels of Map 2. They don’t have the logs, but they do have the same fuel, so it may be worthwhile to ping them on what fuel types/additives they’re using. They seem to be very open is sharing what they’re running and even posting their dyno graphs in the RaceChip thread.

There is an open thread about Canadian fuel. Our findings are currently inconclusive. While we seem to be able to run our fuel without audible ping, I personally feel my ignition timing is not maxed out when comparing to the logs of those running fuel without additives in the USA. Some parts of Canada have access to E85, I do not in my locale. I dont want to run octane booster on a regular basis so my playing with Map 6 is just a stop gap to see if I can maximize my ignition advance and what actually makes the car the fastest on a regular basis.
