I've looked up and down California and there are only a couple 2019 stinger gt2 awd with ceramic silver and red interior, and one dealership let me know straight up that he is not willing to come down at all. Got any advice for me?

Im sure my dealer locally would work something out for you. I dealt with the sales manager, and he is a joy to work with. I am in DFW.....middle of the country seems to be a good place for pricing right now.

Don't ask the dealer what he's willing to sell the car for - decide a fair price that you are willing to pay, and offer to purchase it for that amount. If that particular dealer won't come around, contact other dealers outside of CA if necessary, and be willing to travel to get the car. There are many dealers who are more than happy to work with out-of-area purchasers, some of whom are active on here.

For every dealer trying to gouge the last dollar, this is somebody out there who wants to make an honest sale for a reasonable profit. With the right dealer doing the necessary prep work and making the process as painless as possible, picking up and driving the car back home can be a big and greatly enjoyable part of the purchasing experience! :)

Good luck, and hope you find your car soon - you're going to love it!

Ya I may have to look out of state. Thank you very much for your advice.... some dealerships can make car shopping very difficult. How do I go about finding good dealers on here?

There is a sub-forum for dealers that have signed up with the forum, but as I bought locally here in Canada I've had no personal experience with any of them.

There is also a section where members rate the dealers they've dealt with:

The Stinger Dealership Experience

I'll let those who have purchased from U.S. 'out of area' dealers respond - I know I've read several posts from people who are very happy they purchased that way, so hopefully you'll have some good advice and recommendations soon.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Bought mine in Muncie, IN. >500 miles from home.

I understand how hard it might be to find a "fair deal" when you limit yourself to local dealers.

Truth there. Texas and Oklahoma for sure. There’s a ceramic silver with red here in Austin, TX. Saw it when I was picking up mine a few weeks ago.

What is the process of buying out of state when you get it back to california?
Not sure about the process in CA, but in Texas- when you register the car, the sales tax is also due. If you roll that into your loan, the dealership will give you a check made out to the State and you will give that to CA when you register the vehicle. The taxes apply to where you reside. I have bought several cars out of state, and the process has always been easy.

Start a conversation with @Sanjay R and see what they did buying in Utah and living in Cali.
