Yeah, but with a typical aftermarket exhaust that’s even moderately loud with the mic positioned near the exhaust I wouldn’t expect to be able to hear any wastegate.
 
I categorize drone as an undesirable tone when in a steady, or close to steady state, like cruising on the interstate. I can happily report there’s no drone there. Also happy to report the install went off without a hitch. All clamps were solid, slip connectors slid right in, everything bolsters up just fine.

If you drive all the time in sport mode in lower gears then of course you’re going to pickup some additional sound.
I agree drone is an undesirable tone when at a steady state, but it’s most noticeable under light to moderate load, not just cruising. So does this still have “no drone” while slowly accelerating at highway speeds like 60-80mph?

Initially my muffler deletes drone would vibrate the whole center console & was almost deafening from 1500-2500rpm under light/moderate acceleration. The Vibrant resonators helped a lot, but it’s still noticeable and almost bothersome on long highway trips in that rpm range.

If this doesn’t have any drone or very minimal drone under those circumstances it may be worth the extra $699.

Any additional feedback, sound clips, etc. will be greatly appreciated.:thumbup:

I don’t know why your stock exhaust would be louder than mine and the Stingers in the MBRP video, but every stock version I’ve heard is super quiet.

Both eckos sound clip and MBRPs “after” clip sound considerably different than stock. I agree it’s not Borla loud, but it’s definitely deeper, throaty and has a slight Maserati type scream in upper RPMs. IMO it’s still the best sounding catback I’ve heard and closest to muffler deletes you can get especially if it has the advantage of no/minimum drone.:cool:

I should try to get a clip of my stock exhaust, it's definitely not "quiet", sounds good to me blipping into corners and through garages. I've heard clips of some stock cars and there definitely seem to be differences between different markets. People commented that the stock car in the MBRP videos sounded different, mine sounds more like that than some other clips I've heard.

all Canadian dealers have no stock, warehouse order to be August 22nd :cry::cry::cry:
Called MBRP , confirmed they have no stock on hand either, it takes 5-8 weeks to make the product ... I am looking at end of August which means its a wash for the summer time:eek:

Yeah. I talked to nick considering I ordered June 1 and haven’t heard a peep.

Told him if it isn’t shipped this week, to go with borla instead. Especially after hearing it isn’t much louder than stock.

Oh well. Can’t trust the audio on these manufacturer’s sound / video clips.

what do you mean super quiet? Like, family sedan quiet? I would consider my stock exhaust quiet for a sports car, but it definitely sounds like a "sporty" exhaust. With the windows up it's hard to hear, but with the windows down you can hear it. In a parking deck you can really hear it.

I get your point, but family sedans have a wide range of volume too. Not quite family sedan quiet like a Honda or Cadillac, but much quieter than a basic Charger GT, GS400, 750i, Quattroporte, Panamera, etc, etc. and they are all family sedans.

I guess you could describe it as “sporty”, but that’s relative. Just saying in general and in all the stock comparison videos it’s so quiet you hear the engine or intakes more than the exhaust.:unsure:

It definitely needs more volume and growl to be considered a true GT and thought this exhaust made a huge difference, at least in the comparison videos.:rolleyes:

They hold my OEM catted secondaries
My exhaust set up will be Jun.BL secondary downpipes and MBRP catback then.
That should sound amazing and please post videos or sound clips also soon as you can.:thumbup:
 
Can't wait to hear this may be how I go with my ARK secondaries and this catback.

What did the dealer said about the secCat delete? My dealer told me they were totally OK with a Catback, but I haven't asked about a SecDP...
