Older Mustang vs GT ......................predictable , nicely shot

I owned a new '95 Cobra.

The 94-95's had a 240 hp 5.0L and ran 14.7's. The 96's went modular and made 305 hp turning 14 flat. Those were the 90's ...

The '03-04 Terminators were supercharged and made 390 hp, running high 12's they'd easily give the Stinger GT a run for it's money.

I have been waiting to see what an old N/A 4V would do against a stinger. looks like the 4V had a decent launch too.

*pulley mod and tune* Of course people are getting close to that at the crank with just a tune on the Stinger as well.

Those mid 90s cobras sounded great but just weren't very fast. I had a FBO Integra GSR running high 14s back then and could keep up with those guys. I would take an AWD Stinger over the Terminator from a dig. Not a lot of people are going to run consistent 12s in one with the manual and I doubt they get any traction on the street. Roll race would go to the Arnold Stang though.

An 03-04 4v with a 2.8 pulley and tune puts down about 420-430 on a dynojet. Full bolt ons will net you about 450-470 on a dynojet. If you want to get 500+ you need change/Port the S/C or add some spray.

Now if you run into a Whipple or KB 03/04...watch out. It could be up around 700 rwhp and the power band is constant through the pull unlike a turbo car that spikes only at 3k.
