I saw posts and thread where most were complaining about how much of PAI is to remove badge adhesive. I tried 3 things when I did rear badge

1. Duck® Brand Adhesive Remover
2. Rustolem wax and tar remover
3. Schaeffer Citrol 266

It was was indeed pain with first 2. But when I sprayed Citrol it came off just by wipe. I thought may be combo did it.

Today I did front and tried only Citrol and the adhesive came off by just wiping two times.

Many of the goo-remover products are based on citrus oils. Makes me wonder if citronella oil would work...

I think tea tree oil & or eucalyptus oil works, but I worry about it affecting the paint finish.

Yep. Pure lemon oil works well. Like the Doterra brand or something similar. Not lemon juice...

I used Goo Gone to remove the rear KIA badge residue. The smaller Stinger logo on the hatch came off super easy. I was able to peel that adhesive off by rolling it with the pad of my thumb.

Immediately washed and rinsed the area with the usual auto soap afterward. No issues.

Tip: I got a little aggressive with the fishing line trick around the KIA badge and scuffed the clear coat. Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 and a microfiber cloth worked amazingly well.

I've used WD-40 on all my badge removals (3 cars now) and never had any problem. Worked well and was already in the garage.

It works. The talk is about efforts to remove it.
