Was out making some trips for work when I saw the opportunity to be next to a Camaro SS at a red light with an onramp. My other car is an SS so I have been itching to try out a race with one, but I don't know the mod difference. He had exhaust for sure and was an automatic.

Light turned green and I jumped a car and a half on him (don't know if he was expecting the launch though. He immediately realized there was an opportunity for fun though and didn't fall back anymore. After the light but before the actual on ramp there is a decent turn before it's a long straight. We hit that and he was right on my back corner. As soon as I was out of the corner I put my foot down until I saw 105. The Camaro didn't seem to fall behind, but couldn't gain and pass either.

My favorite part was he was on the next exit and I was continuing on. I got over a lane to the left and he came up next to me and gave a thumbs up with a bewildered but impressed look on his face.

I'm not trying to say this car is going to beat an SS all day long, but I got the jump on him, and had enough that all he could do was keep up. Side by side from a roll I'm sure would be another story. Still gotta get the wife to floor it in the Stinger so I can drive my Camaro and have some fun.

Very nice with just intakes and I had similar experiences with SSs, SRTs & 5.0s. They were all a little shocked they couldn’t catch or beat me but most gave me an impressed looks and thumbs up. Good job and let’s keep showing these current day muscle cars what the Stinger is all about.

I too have had fun with a Modified SS with my Stock GT2 and while I didn't pull away from him I did keep up or he kept up LOL it was even. When we got to the light I could barely hear him over his exhaust gave me a thumbs up said his buddy has a stinger and that he would of beat me with better tires. It did feel good though.

I sold a 2016 Camaro SS with a ProCharger (540 whp) on it to pay for the Stinger. I can say that there IS a performance difference but the Stinger is still VERY impressive. I can't remember what my old car felt like at stock hp but I do think that the Stinger is a lot faster than you'd think.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I wrote before that a C5 or C6 SS looked at me when slow rolling, we both smiled and hit it.

He took me by a 1/2 car length and that was it. Stayed at his door 1st-2nd gear, then slowed for traffic.

Thumbs up offered by both drivers.
