Wire help

Good evening everyone, I have had unfortunate luck with chipmunks nesting under the hood. They chewed through one wire, anyone know what this wire is and if I can re-solder it? The car runs fine, sounds normal, however I have a check engine light and no digital display for oil temperature.

Any help would be appreciated, I have a dealer appt set already.

If his car was here it would be safe, I have two sighthounds, a Greyhound and a Whippet, unfortunately rodents or soft furry creatures enter the dogs domain at their own detriment. They killed a huge Rat yesterday, it came from under next-door neighbours shed, under our adjoining fence.
