Things I want to do to my Stinger

Thanks, will do bit of research into it.
Highly recommend Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light. For US$65 I was able to do my entire car. As with many things, the secret is in the preparation of the surface. Once your paint surface is “perfect”, application is very straight forward and durability is several years. As others have said, research, research. Good luck!

Kia's paint protection package is a pretty good deal for 200 compared to others. I guess, if uou find others expensive, you can go for that ( I did).

How long will it take to apply?

Application takes an hour or two. Preparation can take several hours depending on the condition of your paint.

I got my car last week. So it is in pretty good shape. I will need to clean it good but I think that will be it

Does a clear bra need to be done before the paint protection package?

Typically the PPF is done then the rest of the car with the ceramic.

If you have a new car, wash it down good with a degreaser soap, you can clay it if you want to, then polish (Meguires ultimate compound works well) the entire surface, wash with degreaser soap again, wipe down with alcohol and micro fiber cloths. Apply Gtechniq in small areas and IMMEDIATELY remove and wipe wipe wipe until there is no haze. I know what happens when you miss a small area and some dries before removing even a tiny amount. You have to polish/wet sand the surface to get it off and do over. Not fun.

Forgot to add one thing to the list.

Oil catch can: Planning to get twin can setup.

Update 2:

Got few things done today

1. Remote start and seat back protector installed
2. Put a Stinger frame around rear license plate

Receiving All season mats from TuxMat tomorrow. Will decide if I want OEM or TuxMat.

Received LED reverse lights, need to install them tomorrow.

Paint protection packages are costly. Got few quotes for paint protection plus tint, created thread here

Will be looking for oil catch can now.

2 more things done today

1. Installed TuxMat, one thing I did not like was it had a place for holder at wrong place

2. Installed LED lights

Getting paint protection film and tint installed tomorrow.

Dropped the car for PPF (Xpel ultimate plus covering full front bumper, partial hood, a-pillars, and rocker panels) and tint (XPEL Prime XR 45 Black) installation. Will add pics soon.

Change in plans, updated my list

Done
1. License plate frame on back
2. Install Remote start and Cargo tray with seat back
3. Installed All season mats TuxMat
4. Installed LED reverse lights
5. Install Paint protection package for front end and rocker
6. Window tint

To do:
1. Stinger badge in rear (Delivered), remove all other badges in rear
2. Add GT badges on side
3. Put a Name plate on front (either my name or "Stinger")
4. Eibach Sway bars. (After 3 months, so I can feel the difference)

Might do:
1. Cat back exhaust (if no or minimal loss of low end torque, equally or slightly more noisy than stock and good gains in performance)

Not doing:
1. ECU tune/Piggyback (warranty issue vs need)
2. Oil catch can (warranty issue vs benefits)
3. Intakes (loss of low end torque)

Update:

1. Dropped the plan of removing front bracket. Going to get a plate in silver or black with black or silver text on it.

2. TuxMat getting delivered on Tuesday. Got OEM already. Will decide which one to keep.

3. Dropped the car today to install:
a. Remote start (programming both key fobs to work with them)
b. CARGO TRAY SEATBACK (so it's a cargo mat which extends on back seats, carpeted on top with waterproof bottom)
c. Kia's Paint protection package (I have to pay $270ish which sounds pretty decent)

4. Received STINGER emblem but it had already came off of it's back paper. Ordering one again.

5. Received reverse LED lights. (Sylvania Zevo 921)

6. Still thinking about ceramic coating.

Pictures coming soon on Monday night.
Why tuxmat vs weathertech? I looked at Tuxmat and they seem 2x the price

You forgot to install the mounting tab on the drivers side and just left the open hole...
