I didn't see a post about this, so I figure I'd ask. One of the publications (Edmunds) said this "Our Stinger 'wakes up' when you approach it, with the mirrors unfolding and lights coming on.". Mine doesn't do that. Even my wife's Sorento EX V6 (a trim level down from SX) has this feature. Is there a setting that needs to be turned on for mine to do that, or is this only a GT2 feature?

I can’t aay for sure it is unique to the gt2 (which I have)... but on the overhead console... besides the sunroof control there are 2 buttons.. one to the left (interior light control) and one to the right (wake lights toggle).

^^^The interior lights go on and mirrors unfold when when I unlock/open the door, but they don't illuminate (and mirrors unfold) as I get near the car. I'll check the lights toggle and see if I'm missing something.

Mirrors unfold when I approach my 2019 GT2; will check the light toggle.

All Stingers have the proximity wake feature with lights and auto folding side mirrors, even base 2.0's.

Mine is good.

Works on my 2019 GT Limited, I don't remember changing any settings

Hmmm, I wonder why mine isn't doing it. I'll have to check after work

My mirrors unfold automatically when I get within c. 4.5 feet of the mirrors. And I think the interior lights come on as well. Was never something I cared about one way or the other.

If you open the hatch first, then the mirrors don't unfold until you unlock the door.

Mirrors unfold as I approach door handle lights up, mirror downlight is on. I have interior lights turns off to bright and then you can't see hte purple accent lighting. I have puddle lights but those don't come on until you unlock after you already standing in the puddle would be better if they came on when you approach.

I have the puddle lights also. I unlock the car as I approach so that they come on before I am standing next to the car.

To answer your question. Go to user settings in the dash -> convenience -> select "Welcome Mirror/Light"

Also for auto mirror fold. Have the mirror toggle on the door set to the middle or "auto"

^^^OMG you found it! The funny part was I went through Convenience, but didn't look far down enough. Thanks for pointing this out! I checked it, locked the car, waited a few moments, then walked near it again. I had the mirrors fold up before, but didn't open by proximity. You da man!

Happy to help!

Send him the loot so he can buy CDN beer. You would hate to offend him with that weak yanky piss water. No offence.

Just one of several examples of buttons located in ridiculous places, but there it is..

Just think about the decision process on this..
