Anybody got any points from their stinger yet? I'm lucky I did not get caught yet - I got up to 140mph in mine for about 10-15 seconds and pretty sure that's all that takes to lose a license or kill myself with. I don't make a habit of that and only do it on open roads with noone in sight.

Some guy driving my car got it up to about 120 and slowed it down just before passing by a stationary cop looking for trouble. It was a close one for him. So...knock on my skull, not yet. :notworthy:

Lol. I managed to get mine to 110 yesterday for the first time. Going fast in DFW is impossible. There are cars everywhere all the time. :(

I purchased it from eBay. 1:18 scale die cast with Korean spec badging. NOT cheap - but one of the most detailed models I’ve owned. I did a review on the forum called “toying around”. I made a few mods to make it match my full sized version.... db

A friend of mine was racing a Mustang A10 and got it up to 130 in Mexico..still had plenty more to go but he said a curve was coming up. He said it still road smooth as silk.

No violations on record, but I can confirm the speed restriction associated with the 18"-equipped US models does not apply to my stinger.

I got it up to 160 on a open highway in Mexico visiting the grandparents!! Was sketchy af the highways there smh ha lol but good thing I didn’t get a ticket there lol that would be big points

I put on a spare tire on the side of highway, police guy was very friendly and curious about the car.. he was nice enough to help me lol.. but quebec laws states that its illegal to do so he was supposed to call towing to get it off the highway

That's the second highest open road Stinger top speed I've read of on the forum. @Salman and @Huda have you aced; they got theirs up to c. 170 last summer. :D

I touched 155 on Hwy 95 in Oregon last July. And I touched 135 in April on I-70, bumper chasing a Bimmer. I had three warnings in my first three months of ownership. But no citations. And no warnings since. I try to be "mature and smart" and only "maneuver" at extra legal speed, then drop right back to under ten. I always cruise under ten.

No tickets ... but was going 55 in a 40 though Germantown, TN, small town right near Memphis,TN yesterday. It's way to easy to go over the speed limit in this beauty and not know it. 40mph seems like 30mph! Saw Gtown police on the side of the road, looked at my HUD and slowed immediately. My radar detector was going off but was at 0 volume. Must have been my lucky day, the officer stayed in his nest. Why I was not pulled over mystifies me. The Gtown police DO NOT MESS AROUND! Whew!!!

Obviously hypnotized by that awesome car you were driving. They neglected to look at their radar.

Well, no way I'm sharing evidence, but my HUD said higher than that. She was rock solid at that speed.
Very encouraging! I was impressed with how "rock solid" my ride felt all the way up to 155, and was still pulling c. 1 mph per second when I backed off. The road was "humpy". And if this design were at all unstable it'd start to "float" and dance around at higher speeds. Instead, the Stinger just stays stable and smooth. She took the rises in the road in stride and dropped right back down as if there were downforce playing.

I like to accelerate quickly to the speed limit, but almost always keep it within 10 mph. With that said, I've kicked the tail out a few times with the peddle down only to see a cop waiting around the next corner, but they never pull me over. I think it's because this car is so quiet lol.

That's my usual driving habit. The car is still new to me, and the intake will be the last thing i test on this before a catback later in the year. Then I will be driving around mostly in eco-comfort mode until I hit the track.
