City Museum in St Louis has the largest Praying Mantis on the largest rooftop playground which is part of the largest human hamster cage. It really is a must-visit and fabulous for families. An old shoe factory/warehouse was bought by an artist and his friends and they had free reign. It's more a museum of creativity than anything else

I realized today as I passed under it for the third time this week that my favorite oversized roadside site should be posted here.

This is an overpass for the Gold Line train on our 210 freeway in Monrovia near Pasadena. It's “the largest single public art/transportation infrastructure piece in California.”

The artist who designed it, Andrew Leicester, said, "I drew my inspiration from two sources: the region’s cultural history and its architecture. The large baskets that adorn the bridge metaphorically represent the Native Americans of the region and the growth of agriculture as a primary catalyst to the San Gabriel Valley. They also pay tribute to the iconic sculptural traditions of Route 66 with its oversized commercial architecture such as the windmill atop the Denny’s restaurant on Huntington Drive . . . north of the freeway."

Next to a Puma fuel station at Kybong (between Brisbane and Gympie). I don't recall it being so nicely placed (I've done the drive up that way and beyond plenty of time with family on the Sunshine Coast and in Hervey Bay), but there you go. Was apparently at Wet & Wild on the Gold Coast for quite some time, but I don't recall seeing her there.

Totally edible, pork crackling, it is a starter/entree for $10, they boil it first then drop it into the deep fryer & it puffs up like that, damn thing was huge but so nice, especially with a Pear Cider.
