Doesnt require personalized changes... are you referring to the fact that you cant make any changes? It was very one size fits all piggyback.
No updates? David Chung has been saying there will be more updates to make it more in line to the JB4 the fact is the pro tuner is just no where near as devloped.

here is why the JB4 is the better option
1 (and probably most important) half the cost of Pro Tuner
2 8 maps... yes 8 compared to 3 ( 9 and 4 if you want to count maps 0)
3 custom map availability to tune on top of ECU tunes
4 Full Water meth injection control
5 Ease of Install and removal
6 Logging capabilities (no one wonders why lap3 cars are all rated so high on a dyno yet cant perform at tracks? I would)
7 Additional safety setting within the jb4 for a max boost
9 Race Gas and E85 tuning capabilities.
