LAP3-PROSS ECU Tune in development

Where on FB? I’ve been following it there and haven’t seen it there at all but it’s entierly possible I missed it. I try to avoid FB a bit when I can.

The kits sold before by Lap3 for example for their veloster comes with
  • XCargot XT26 Turbo
  • Turbo Housing
  • Exhaust Manifold
  • Turboback Downpipe
Add a spare ECU tune and wastegate option and it’s $4500 before shipping

An intake (price estimated from competitor options) $630 (I picked SSRs for example

A FMIC ((using UP’s)) $950

A meth kit (( using AEMs universal kit)) $520

Comes out to $6600 before shipping.

You’ll probably need to add some cash for a TCU tune and I’m not sure what that would cost, but it seems like 13k is exaggerated estimate. 6.6k I think I would do, but 13k? Not a chance (((I keep telling myself that at least haha)))

Remember we have 2 turbos not 1 like the veloster.

The reason they encrypt the ECU is because someone stole their tune from the Gen Coupe and tried to pass it off as theirs. It is their intellectual property so you can't be mad at them.

Hard core drag racers would have a 3100lb C5 Z06 with a stroked/FI engine and some big ole slicks.

People here love going fast as much as they love their Stinger.

Kam.....Exactly ! Wash

This is probably for a different topic, but I wonder with those heavily moded and with a ton of $$$$ in the car if they don't regret not getting something else and sending less money on mods. Im almost at the point that I do. I have about 12-15K in this car, for that I would have likely got a M3.... The only thing the car still has that makes me feel ok is the nice hatchback lol.

Yeah, that's why I'm still on the sidelines and still eyeballing the S7 and RS7. Those already have a well developed aftermarket and tunes that get you into pretty serious horsepower on pump gas without any drama. I'm sure when the weather starts to warm up, I'll be a lot more eager to pull the trigger on something. :)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
What year gla 45 amg do you have? They have one down the road 2018 for like 58k it is more fun to drive than the stinger imo
2015 $65k new got it for $40k last year. Stock the AMG is better. With sway bars and an extra hundred hp the Stinger is more fun.

x3, I think LAP3 will get a lot of customers if they can fix launching and speed up shifts. Either that or we wait for a 2-step enabled solution to come out so we can build a little bit of boost at launch
This this this! I would be on board for sure!

Can't blame you. Hell if I was in a position to look at an S7 or RS7 I would, as well. Then the AMG GT 4-door came along. Holy sheet.

Yeah. I like the 4 doors with hatch concept. The AMG GT is a nice looking car, but is missing the interior space that I occasionally need...though I can't say that I've ever seen a 4-door variant. Next time......no kids. :)

Cheers!

Do you know how often it happens in the Subaru community...... I'm sure someone will dupe it of they put forth dffort

And if they never release it for sale, they never make any money on it either. I suspect there's more to the story. Firmware encryption tech isn't rocket science.

Best,

They are doing 256 bit encryption from what I have herd and lemme say this that’s hard to crack like realy hard. But I just hope it comes soon =]

if they're doing 256 that means they're using symmetrical keys in which case the key has to be on the device to be able to decrypt the tables

Sec + ftw.

Here's a video of the TCU tune that we have worked on the 600WHP+ Kia Stinger.
Shifting is fast and it very crisp. It also broke into 100mph+ trap speed for a 1/8 mile run.

Are you going to bump up that LC RPM just a little bit?

We will be looking into it down the road.
Not sure how well the torque converter will take higher RPM launches with the given power level, but we will see.
