2018 Stinger Recall - Wire Harness May Be Damaged By Fender
I get Inbox alerts when a new post activates a thread I am watching. Obviously, this one is not new; but it just appeared in my Inbox. This has not happened before.

(While I'm on this, the opposite occurs quite often: I'll watch a thread and never get alerts on that thread even if I "Unwatch" and then "Watch" it again. The only way I know if a new post has appeared is that the "Eye" icon appears with the thread near the top of "New Posts".)

I copy and pasted that thread link into another thread today. Maybe that’s it?

I'm sure links to other threads get pasted all over the forum. I do it almost every day.

IT appeared in your inbox because someone from Germany started posting that TSB as a new thread and in that thread thinking it was something new because they just found out about it.

I think I know - assuming you are monitoring that thread, the last post you can see was Feb 26, but a non-registered user posted some utter nonsense in there yesterday @14:04, which I deleted an hour later. So you can't see that post, but it was there for a short time.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

That's it! Thanks for helping me to sleep more soundly. :D

Question: how does one become a "non registered user"? Are we getting hacked?

No. I have no idea as this is the first forum I've moderated where the software allows "guests" to post without registering. Most of it is spam that you guys never see but some appear to be genuine "potential" users. Perhaps none of that shows up for regular members.

I had no idea this forum allowed non members to post. Hmm!
