Stinger pricing in Northeast

I have something going with a dealership that i usually get my current car 18 sportage sx serviced. The dealership has a demo 18 stinger gt2 that has 4k miles on it and it has been sitting in the show room or out side for over a year now. The original sticker was $52k and it is currently listed as $44k on their website and it inquired about pricing since i always see it when i go for servicing. I asked them about $40k + taxes and fees and they answered back with I would have to ask the owner if they want to lose money on the car if i come in tomorrow to buy the car.. Is this a good deal?

The lowest I've seen for a demo vehicle is from around the Boston area. $38k for 19 GT2 AWD Pantera Metal. $40k+ taxes and fees sounds like a nice deal. I've been offered a 19 for around $45k. Does having an 18 with $5k discount offset your resale value?

Was the 45K including all incentives?

Doesn't sound like a good deal to me on a 2018 model, should be 40k or less in my opinion.

Folks were getting $10k off brand new 2018s all day long 6 months ago.

I am planning on waiting until the end of this year or early next year to get a 2019 GT2 AWD. I am hoping to find one for no more than $40,000 by that time.
