• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Eibach Sways & Springs

Update....
Just got off phone to John at Eibach. There's a possibility the factory will be doing a production run in April in which case he should have stock mid to late May. Inclusive of @Tazztattoo and @ZeroPenguins we have nine participants so the deal is definitely on (as it was when we had six).
When John has confirmed production/delivery dates from the factory he will let me know and will be looking for a 50% deposit from each of us.

Installation...There's a suspension place in Parramatta that I pass regularly so I called in today and had a chat. Labour rate is $110 (incl GST) and although they hadn't done a Stinger before the guy thought about $200 so that's allowing just under 2 hours to complete.
I think I would be more comfortable going with the Kia dealer.

Thanks Shannon thats good to know theres enough sways coming in. Looking fwd to it.

For the Perth owners John Hughes Service Centre in Welshpool are the only dealer who knows how to fit them. Ask for Jack Rhodes. Pm me for details of contact and special benefits. You need the code word from me lol.
Also I can get paint protection for $695 as a special deal for forum members in Perth. Its called A- Glaze and is used on Boeing aircraft and lasts 10 yrs no reapplication. PM me for details.

Good updates. Thanks
Anybody recommend Brisbane installers?
I have no true faith in any manufacture's/dealers service centres, especially when it comes to wheels and suspension, let alone vehicle logbook services, but the technology in their cars these days almost mandates it "should" go to a dealer.

Honestly, most Suspension Specialists have not dealt with Stingers as yet, so technical exposure is minimal at best.
I had mine installed by my dealer since 18/102018 without any issues, they also have full technical access to which they can also refer too if need be.

Thanks Shannon for the update, I was going to call John today but work was chaos so I never got the chance.

All good.

I’m going with Fulcrum Suspension. They’ve always had a good name in Brisbane for shocks and suspension going back many years. I emailed their Capalaba shop a few weeks ago and they’re cool to do the install even though they’re not an Eibach dealer. . I didn’t ask about price though.

Call and ask the hourly rate and you'll get a guide, not that it matters too much though (IMO).

That's great to hear! John via email got back to me to tell me that only one person put their order in from this forum. So it's good to hear that you have that sorted out and that the group buy will be proceeding.

Anyhow, I have raised an order with John and he will let me know when to deposit the money.

Cheers. Let me know how you go. Perhaps we can arrange a two for one (or is that four for two) install deal?
PS... I have contacted John to arrange my order also.
Thanks all.

What's the deal? I want to order some swaybars too!

John needs 3 more (of 6-8 minimum) confirmed orders from us to secure a bulk buy price for us. It's good.
Contact John please and save me some money.

What if we don't get the minimum? Deal doesn't go ahead?

The deal is all good with existing numbers. There are 9 and now possibly 10 if @basysmith comes onboard.

John will contact each of us when he needs a deposit which should be after he has a delivery date from the factory. For those who are Sydney based (and @Hemz) I am happy to collect your order when I pick mine up so that will save on freight.
