So I finally had a chance to gap some plugs before installing my JB4. I noticed two plugs look slightly different. All have the same coding on the boxes and the plugs themselves. However the coil sides of two plugs have a screw on top (brass looking). Also on the metal part of the plug the two brass top plugs are marked DB and the others are GB. There are also blue stripes on the insulator. Otherwise all plugs are labeled IKH24. Does anyone have an idea why they are different?

Did you get them from us? We buy them from a direct source so we know they are legitimate. I know amazon has some inferior fakes on it.

Aw, crap! I had these stashed away since January... Just found time to install the JB4 and wanted to do the plugs first, I never even opened them when I got them. Yes, that was the ONE item I ordered on Amazon. Got the JB4, fuel wires, gap tool, Bluetooth adapter from Burger. Poop.

Try to save a buck, see what happens!

y'all have plugs in stock, Terry?

Yes we should have 100s in stock.

I wanna be sure. Ordered six plugs from y'all. At the worst, I can compare mine to known genuine. Thanks.

I bought 6 locally in Australia and two were different to the others. (4 brass tops and two grey) I think it's just old vs new stock. Mine is working fine.

Hey Matt, did you notice if the grey tops also did not have the blue stripe on the insulator?
Glad to hear yours are working well.

Thanks for the info! I just have that seed of doubt in my mind now... I'll compare the two sets, when I get the new ones in from BMS. At the worst, I'll have some spares.

Yep same as the pic in this thread.

Cool deal. I'll compare mine when I get the new ones in.

So, the variance in plugs isn't just from some random vendor on Amazon. Got my 6 plugs from KiaStinger.com today. WTF guys?

I have bought two sets from BMS (12) total. Some of mine are like this.

see above. this occurs everywhere.

Whoops. The OP stuck with me and I missed some of the follow up. Guess it's really no worry.

This would be avoided with HKS plugs lol
