I recieved a Messenger message today from one of the Kia gt facebook young members saying that he and at least one other maybe have been banned from the group.

Following our Hunter valley cruise it appears someone had some footage of the driving shenanicans that went on during the trip up there. They forwarded to the admin staff who have subsequently taken action.

The young fella drives a Rafa stinger and he suspects perhaps the guy driving the Kia Koup may have his marching orders as well?
....sorry didn't include any puns.

So bottom line our conduct will be monitored.

I thought it was a " warning " first and any subsequent shenanigans were going to to dealt with more harshly ie, banned from group and film passed to police, surprised peeps are getting marching orders after first stuff up ? maybe their just got zero tolerance for that behaviour after viewing film

Great memory Flame, spot on thats exactly what the "Young offender" wrote in his message. So yes it was , i'd say it was severe because the footage must have been damning.

Thinking back to his age i had a Monaro and i had trouble keeping a license.

In the mean time i was just searching Ebay for you looking for that drivers side booster seat that you will may need.....

Cheeky bugger luckily the new cars have adjustable seats for height etc so I no longer have to sit on a cushion and wear platform shoes so I can reach the pedals

Ha,ha, just saw you piping up about the fiery vee dubs.

Very funnily enough two days ago i started a thread called "Hyundai- Kia fires" which i copied and pasted from an article published by Car advise on the same day. Strangely it was pulled off the forum within a matter of hours. A couple of people responded. I don't think from my experience here they like any negative mail about the Kia brand. Its happened a few times now. or perhaps it could be viewed as unauthorised plagerism?

From what i saw YES, but the guy who got banned who contacted me i didn't see his offences. Im not saying he didn't but those that did were crossing double white lines and speeding by a big margin. The overtaking was dangerous and people were racing each other.

That potential fire issue has been fixed in the Stinger hasn't it ?

The article related back to cars of around 2014- 2015 era so it didn't relate to the Stinger. Ive never heard of any current Kia's or Hyundai's having issues.

The wiring was never a huge issue just that it rubbed and could potentially cause a fire.
