New 2018 Black GT1!

Hi all,

Quick intro.. just picked up a black GT1.. the only thing I think GT2 has that this one doesn’t (or that I’ll actually miss anyway) is a heated steering wheel.

It replaced my daily driver, which was a 2016 Honda Civic.. it joined a 2017 Camaro SS in the garage.

Congrats on the ride! I did a check of the features yesterday as I noticed the cars I drove (RWD) did not have heated steering wheel, that feature is only available with the AWD system. Another thing the US market should have got standard in my opinion.

Heated steering wheel only with all wheel drive. Where have I heard this before? At least one other manufacturer does this - perhaps several - but I forget who...

I mean the types of comments that I see, thread topics, etc..

I’m a member of the Camaro6 forum.. there are some very intelligent people there... and many who are less so. Lots of Mustang bashing and testosterone on that one.

I was a member of the civic forum (because I traded a civic for this car), and completely different personalities there than both this and the Camaro forum. A lot of younger members who don’t know how to (or maybe choose not to) spell or use punctuation in their sentences properly. Different class of car.. different people drive it.

I’m not bashing anybody.. I’m just saying that there is a noticeable difference in what the “average” forum member is like from car to car.

Yes, I agree. The demographic for the Camaro SS should be better than the Civics as the price of entry is higher. But the rivalry with the Mustang GT can make for a heated environment (at times). The Civic communities are mainly young so a lot of the members are probably very young and just haven't grown up yet. Many, not all... Here, Stinger owners are mature and, generally not THAT young. And we don't really have much of a rivalry yet - but I can see that being the case with Audi and BMW in time...

We do have a really great crowd here.
