Drag/Acceleration Kia Stinger 1/4 Mile Times

First I've heard of a Stinger running 10s. Certainly doable but would take more power I think. Maybe with a 75 shot? As they say sometimes extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. I'm in for hearing the details.

I know that. My point is everyone so testy about adding him to the list. This is all nonsense, but I stand by my statement that known facts don't add up, so more facts are needed

Guys, i removed the seats and took the whole engine, trans and rear diff out as well but made sure to keep the JB4. This whole wieght removal stuff works wonders. Managed to run a 9.1, cant believe you guys are still in the two digit zone.

Please update the list accordingly.

That must be the secret JB4 setting in there that adds ~75whp. We just don't tell you guys about so we can charge you to unlock it later.

Honestly I know as much about the setup as the rest of you at this point. We have several guys we're working with via email doing crazy things like nitrous, larger turbos, and the like but no one has told me they hit the track yet with a setup.

All true, he posted his mods and they asked if hed run it down the track, so he told them his times, then they asked for a slip which he provided. I'm not sure he even knows there is a list.

Kinda reminds me of when I cracked 11s with dragy. There you were with a bunch of others questioning my time. Then I kept doing it and provided logs and the same verified dragys that you have. I had a bad dragy, then I had a unicorn car, then it was others cant do it so you cant.Then it was you'll never do that at the track. Would you mind swapping dragys with someone, can you turn off the jb4 and close the valves. The goal posts just keep moving. Unless... your tonkabob.

I think he was just tinkering with settings like no boost in first gear, Not so much modifying the device, but I dont really know. He mentioned it twice. He said he normally runs 11.2, 11.3. Also mentioned it may have been wind aided. If tonka throws meth on his car( if he hasnt already) and runs 11.3 it's no questions asked. But if someone with more mods than him does all hell breaks loose.

guys comon, put all the should we put him on the list, jb4, lap3, tork crap aside. You know how difficult it is to run a 10.9, especially on a RWD with street tires.

New rule subject to change at his whim. All winter it was dragys invalid time slips only. Now that someone has a time slip that beats Timmy's they have to dragy verify thier time.

Well crap, if I knew there was a $100,000 dollar prize for modding my Stinger for the quickest or fastest quarter mile, I might have made a few passes. Man, for that kind of loot, I would have .... What? What do you mean no money? Are you serious? I literally get nothing for being the quickest or fastest Stinger on the forum? What is everyone else on about then?

Oh who am I kidding? I think it is great and don't care a whole lot if the claim is even true. The fact that someone might have run a 10.9 is encouraging. For me it is no different than watching it go from 13 to 12, 12 to 11, and now 11 to 10. Even if it is not 10, those close to 10 are going to try that much harder now. Personally, a video of the 10.9 run would go a long way to making me care more. But for now, I am fine just thinking it might have happened. If it is not true, that will come out soon enough but if it is true, that platform is now a contender to be taken very seriously at the track.

Did you see the 500+ whp dyno JB4 user recently posted? A 10.9@125 isn't out of reach with weight reduction and slicks / DRs

still crying? He met the same standard as everyone else on the list to date, and now the standard isnt standard. Sure. If he did it and I have no reason to believe he didnt. He will stay on. If he didnt it will all come out in the wash and you can remove him. I'm sure he will hit the track again. Its early and from the looks of it he built that car to run it. I say if he runs 11.2-3 down the road his 10.98s good.
