3.3TT Wagner Tuning intercooler

Any new updates on this intercooler? I heard an ETA of 4-1? Can anyone confirm? Who would be interested in doing a group buy with me in oeder to get a cheaper cost?
Curious to see details and benefits of their intercooler, but I think it's too soon for a group buy with other FMIC's being developed right now besides this one (BMS, etc)

I have seen several wagners on vw and audi's and the research and quality they put in is probably the best you can find, the fitment is excellent also.

They have some details on their website if you haven't seen it already.

Comp. Ladeluftkühler Kit Kia Stinger GT - WAGNERTUNING

To me the deal breaker is if the intake ducts are not ready. I would rather go with a smaller intercooler and retain the VT snorkels than go Wagner and without snorkels.

You sir are 100% spot on! I agree as far as quality I don’t think there will be a better intercooler on the market. Maybe JT and UP will be up there. But Agency, CX and all other intercoolers will most likely be on the lower tier. That’s my concenrn as well I want the Wagner IC but my worries are that I want to keep the VT snorkels. I seen the pictures and it seems like the IC includes some type of air diverteres for the top and bottom, I am interested in more details on that.

I spoke to Wagner Tuning and according to their information they are not working on a cold side piping at the moment. What comes with the kit is listed on the picture. The eta of 4-1 is for Germany and not USA. ETA for USA is 5-1. Now I spoke to the office here is USA we will just have to wait and see what happens. They might develop the scoops and piping later.

I’m very good friends and close to the North American distributor that handles all of Wagner tuning distribution for the United States and Canada. They are located here in California, and we sell quite a bit of the Wagner intercoolers for the Optima market. We will have the product available to pre-order on our website before it hits the United States and will be offering discounted pricing for the first customers that order.

I also confirmed that depending on the demand and interest, that they may develop those down the line as well. They’d like to see how well the product sells first here for the Stinger.

Good to know I have a feeling that they might sell them down the road but they are currently a lot of intercoolers on the market and new ones coming as well that are cheaper. I hope you can assemble some type of group buy to provide us some savings. Depending on the the cost I am close to getting the Agency power but really like the quality and look of the wagner. Please keep me updated I know 2 locals to me that are not on this forum that want to get the Wagner intercooler depending if the price is right. Keep me updated when you do assemble a deal and I will let those local to me know. Thanks you for your response!! Feel free to PM as well for pre order and deals thanks

Judging by the photos attached, I don't think the IC will interfere with the VT ducts. Hell they even offer a solution similar to the VT ducts.

The IC fits perfect with lots clearance from the factory ducts too.

Looks like a close call by the pictures.

I personally will like for someone to test fit one with the ducts on.

Will these be shipped at the end of May?

Will you be providing some type of group buy in order to provide a discount?
We have preordered a large amount of these intercoolers taking all of the 1st batch arriving here in the North America.

We will be shipping them out as soon as they arrive here in the US, and yes, we will be offering a discount to anyone that preorders as well.

What do people do if they have the Volossa tech Snorkels? Do you need to remove them?
Wagner Intercooler includes (2) specific air baffles that do the EXACT same thing as the Velossa Tech Big Mouth Kit, and go in the exact same place. If you leave out the baffles included with the intercooler, Dan from Velossa Tech thinks they will still fit, but no way to be sure until it has been tested.

See my post above!

Will you do a buy back for the UP intercooler :D This intercooler is interesting. Is there an option for Cold Side Piping?
Haha I wish that were possible, but they are selling really well, maybe you can offer yours with a nice discount, and someone will pick it up.

Not at this time, but hopefully in the future it will be an option.

Is there any advantage with this one, over the one's that come with larger piping? I'll be ordering an inter cooler fairly soon, and would like to get on this one ASAP if there is any distinct advantage even with the normal sized piping.

I will give my personal opinion for what is worth.

I think this will be the best intercooler for the Stinger to date.

I owned the UP intercooler with the cold side piping and love it.

Any aftermarket intercooler you go with will get the job done. The differences in performance would be minimal to be honest. If you want to go cheaper just buy the AP intercooler.

Great question guys! I'm in direct contact with Wagner Tuning right now, they are going to check with the engineer in Germany and get back to me ASAP. I will update you guys as soon as I hear back from them.

Let me just say that I am very confident this setup will outperform any/all other intercoolers on the market thus far for this platform. German engineering mixed with lots and lots of R&D from Wagner is what will make this the best option for the Stinger IMHO. Time will tell, but I truly believe this is going to kill the intercooler game in its tracks!

Thanks Angel, I agree with the 1st part, but I think this will make more of a difference in performance compared to other intercoolers offered, as I think with a 175% larger frontal surface area & 183% more core volume, the air intake temps will be much lower with this intercooler than others for the Stinger, essentially allowing for more power gains.
