Stinger Logo Emblem Development Underway

We've had some discussions with some folks out there to have a Stinger-centric aftermarket emblem made. Some individuals feel the E logo in front is a bit of a stretch given the brand's explanation of it's meaning (to each his own of course). Why not have something more applicable to the car that's not the rather undesireable "KIA" emblem that can be used on the front of the car as well as the tailgate? This is a fairly easy project for us as we've done custom OEM-quality emblems in the past. Here are some ideas that are just starting to be thrown around using the original "Stinger" lettering as the logo...

I'm not a Photoshop guru, so I can't simulate what chrome would look like, but that would probably be the first color we'd do. Red/black seems to be a nice alternative option too as it's often a popular highlight color for exterior themes. Either way, the logo and outline would be a beveled design with the black background sunk back. Pretty standard for this type of emblem.

Thoughts? Feedback?

Here's an example of the finished product from what we did for the Veloster market. I'd go for the same type of feel for the Stinger emblem, though the Veloster scene had more of a demand for a logo like the raptor one here.

my only concern is the size of the text in the oval. i wonder if it would make sense to raise the center of the text sort of moving up from the left and down from the top center to the right to have the letters slant upward and then downward. this would allow for larger letters.

I think he means rounding the edge on top with the "Stinger" lettering just beneath the edge. That might allow for larger lettering but I'm not sure how much...

I like the idea a lot, would certainly work well as a front badge with the Korean style stinger script on the back.
Would it be possible to make the bezels in a smoked chrome to match the bodywork of the car?
Also, as there are no indents on the body panels you have greater flexibility in the badge shape, so does not need to ape the Kia oval - perhaps even in an oblong?

Hmm if that's the case then it would basically be changing the actual logo. I'll mock something up later to see if we're on the same page.

Got a picture of exactly the type of smoked chrome look you're referring to? I've dealt with non-chrome colored emblems in the past and got feedback that people wanted to match the other badges/lettering on the car. Unless people are totally debadging everything else, then it might look out of place. That being said, I'm not opposed to making multiple color options.

I did think about the shape of the emblem but it's generally going to be an oval or circle. I just figured the oval allows the text to be larger. When you say oblong, do you mean a rectangle shape?

I've discussed that in other threads actually. We've done steering wheel badges in the past, so no problems there. However, many people may not want to remove the OEM Kia emblem on the steering wheel. Replacement steering badges are always higher quality and look more like an original part of the car. A stick-on overlay type badge is the alternative as it doesn't require taking off the Kia one. I will probably make both types for this market though. I just need the exact measurements and shape of the OEM one. Wanna trace yours for me?

I have had some stickers made up with the logo thru Zazzle.com and they look great. If the administrators want they can use the artwork and get decals made up and sell them in the store to make some funds do for running the forum. My small contribution to the cause.

Hmm! Thank you! That IS kind of a cool logo and I think it would look nice on the steering wheel. It would go fine anywhere but something about it just seems right inside. And for a front logo as well. Let's get more opinions.

Make it into a sticker and flog it in your store. Was not really intended for logo on steering wheel. Make some key rings anything so you can raise some cash to keep forum running. I’m donating the artwork to you.
