I suspect a lot of people will be disappointed this summer and many will be happy ....If I can run 12 flat or touch the 11’s I will be super happy .... I still have not seen a JB4 hit 11’s on the track yet I hope that I can change that .....

I hope that there is not a lot of disappointment. For crying out loud there are so many cars that run impressive times with just a few mods compared to 10 years ago. WHY can’t we run mid 11s @120+ I hope to see many do this in the upcoming season

I wouldnt say many will be disappointed, but most wont hit 11 seconds in 3 months when tracks start opening up. We are talking about a couple of stingers out of the 20K that have sold that have a documented 11 second stinger. Only one that I know of thats not using Meth. Meth injection isnt going to be a widely used mod in our platform. IMO i think most will want a couple bolt ons and a tune/piggyback and thats where they will stop.

With the disappointment will come more improvements. I think by the end of next track season we see someone pushing for 10 seconds. Big things are coming

Tork is almost done with the Stage 2 tune.
Lap3 is coming out with a new turbo kit/tune package
Pure Turbos just released upgraded stock turbos - Will need a BEF to perform to the cost.
Burger just said they are working on mods for RWD to get better traction.

Alot of good stuff is headed our way! I hope im disappointed (not really XD ) when the track opens up. Gives me more opportunity to improve.

It is possible. Tonka isnt running meth, and i dont believe he has a FBO run yet (still has cats)

I stand corrected. 3 out of the 4 arent using Meth. Get Stung has his primaries, no FMIC upgrade (but his times are in the dead of winter - so maybe off a bit when spring hits).

I can easily run 11s without WMI also, on E30. My next goal though is to run 11s on the stock rims/tires on E30 without WMI.

We will see what happens here, my track has always been .1-.3 and 1-2mph “slower” than say Seattle or woodburn in my personal experience. All I will have is JB4 and ultimate performance down pipes and e30 for the first part of the season. Hoping to hit 116-117 12.2-4 ish with those mods

I believe it's possible to run an 11 with stock everything and just a tune. It's not that the car doesn't have the horsepower, it's that it has limiters all over the place to make sure it doesn't overstress itself. Launch Control tweaking alone could lower times drastically on AWD cars if the transmission can handle it.

Tonka doesn't have just straight more horsepower than everyone else. He just has a faster car because it uses what he does have better.

Yep. I think it's a great goal. Longevity is the egg to crack there. I'm sure he could do it right now if he just had stingers to spend. Baby stepping it forward and testing is the hard part.

Tune, Intake, Downpipe. PUMP GAS. Solid repeatable 11s. That would be my end game.

yeah... it is unreasonable. The GTR is a 111k purpose built sports car. The Stinger is a 50k sports sedan. While a FBO and tuned Stinger will have close to the same power output as a GTR, the rest of our drivetrain doesn't have anywhere near the same capabilities. A 565 crank hp GTR (stock) will run almost an 11 flat all day while a Stinger with similar output will be in the upper 11s. The same power to weight ratio but a huge difference in ET and it's all because of that drivetrain. If we could run a 2.9 second 0-60, we would be all over the 10s at this point, but I'm pretty sure our stock diff and transmission would blow up if we ever did.

Hell, many GTRs had their transmissions blow up because their launch control has that much force.
