Any help here? I need to spray a little part of my rear bumper from a hit and run. My plan is to sand it, fill it and sand again. Spray it, clear it and cut/buff the area. I know it won't be perfect, but I don't want to pay my deductible to fix it...I hate paint pens, they never work and often look horrible. I might try to tape off just the deeper scratches and fill/spray.

eBay alerts set for 2018-2019 Stinger rear bumpers too lol

I'm looking at this: Touch Up Paint and accessories | AutomotiveTouchup

I've bought a lot of paint over the years from Automotive Touchup and haven't been let down.

What kind of colors have you used? I'd assume black isn't too hard to match up lol

Oh man it's been a bunch. I did Electron Blue on a Z06 when I painted my fuel rail covers. I did Brazen Orange metallic paint on my GTOs brakes. I did whatever white was on my 4runner to fix a scratch. There's been a few others.

For the 4runner I ordered a bottle and brush, similar to nail polish. It wasn't as smooth as the sprays, obviously, but the color matched.

I ordered a kit, prep kit, spray can, etc. I also picked up a 2oz bottle for rock chips that are killing me.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If it looks worse...I’ll just back into a low pole and pay my deductible....

Holy shit!

Thats...alot!

I got 70% of it. It looks pretty bad in the photo from the dirt off their tire. I used a paint prep pad (IPA) and some compound that I applied by hand and got all the white paint off. 25ft away you can't tell, but I can see it still. Thank god this car is black and the bumpers are just black plastic.

I'm going to spray some plastic I have at home from the Optima and see how well it matches the flake. I'd rather have scratched up OEM paint than a wavey shitty looking botch job haha

Probably too late but wd40 and a "magic eraser" will remove paint transfer like that.

So the thing that sucks is the company that did the Ceramic coating applied it over the damage, and there is wax stuck in their now too. Sanding is the only way to get it out lol.

I have the best luck with this car

IMO an easier solution is a clay bar. If you use a magic eraser you're going to mar your paint; in some situations where you don't have scratches but just paint transfer you want the least aggressive method possible (which is a clay bar)
