Just prior to my recent Stinger purchase I saw a review on YouTube where this reviewer was talking about how you can remove unwanted features on your radio display, such as AM or XM (which would make for faster scrolling with the mode button). I was pursuing the owner’s manual tonight but couldn’t find the instructions on how to do it.

That's a good friendly and helpful attitude.

You can remove sources that display when using the Mode button on your steering wheel, by going to Settings>Advanced>Steering Wheel Mode.

That way, you can scroll through the audio sources using your steering wheel control and not have to run through sources you don't listen to. Is this what you mean?

Thank you, Mike. Yes, when I scroll using the Mode button, I don’t want to scroll past sources I don’t listen to, such as AM and XM. As a side bar, I’m allowing the XM to expire at the end of the trial period because I have plenty of other music sources.

Hey. Y’all have guns (stereotypically all Texans pack heat). I only have IMs!!

(This coming from a former Arlington/Houston native)
Yes, we have guns. Yes we do. lol.

Interestingly I can't find the option to turn on Bluetooth messaging.

I had it after updating the Firmware. After disconncting the battery to install a sub a few weeks back I no longer have it AND I can't find the option to turn it back on.

Anyone?

Check your phones Bluetooth setting first.

Show notifications needs to be enabled. Sometimes it resets on my phone.

I've been collecting in case I move to TX. Machine guns>check, suppressors>check, suppressed lever actions>check, NVGs, check!

You're right. It was disabled from my phone so the "message settings" option wasn't showing up.

As soon as I (re)enabled it on the phone it popped up on the car's screen.

Thanks.
