Does anyone have information on the Stinger's rods and pistons? I saw somebody mention an estimate over the stock engine being able to handle over 700 hp. That's making me wonder if the car comes with forged rods and pistons. We've also heard the transmission is good for over 800 hp. If this all turns out to be true the Stinger could be a tuner's dream. Bigger turbos could be possible without having to open up the engine.

I can't imagine one of these doing 800 hp without killing the warranty in every level

Yes we do. The Piston is the only questionable part but the rods can handle it. may need to upgrade the rod bolts

Do you know where the stock turbos will max out? What will be our first major hurdle to high HP, turbos or fuel delivery?

Well.. Tuning the car won't affect the warranty on, say, the navigation and audio system. Modifying a car is definitely a "pay to play" kind of thing so people need to be prepared - especially when moving into serious performance like 800hp...

First major hurdle will be the FMIC, after that we are not sure as we cannot tune the vehicle yet.

Excellent, thanks for the info. When are you planning on having some of your products on sale? exhaust, intakes, FMIC...

Hopefully the ECU can be cracked fairly easily and you can really find out what it can do.

We have mock up muffler deletes ready on the car and intakes as well. We also have a new FMIC on the way to us now that should be able to hold 625hp. Tuning will be getting cracked end of January.

Thank you for keeping us informed here. You need your own forum here so all the Tork Motorsports info and updates can be found in one place. I'm seeing stuff all over the place but I'm very glad you're so consistent.

Are you replacing the stock FMIC because it started to heat soak or you're assuming it's going to because of its size? If it did heat soak, what upgrades/boost/whp were you at?

I believe they're upgrading the FMIC because it will not carry them to where they want to go with their plans. But knowing at what point the FMIC "needs" to be replaced will be a good thing...

We are replacing it because we have thermal imaged it and it flat out sucks. It gets heat soaked pretty quick and it doesn't really do its job. I have posted a video on here previous of the OEM fmic.
