I saw Blitz setup and looks great. Totally flush. Surprised how much more intake and blow off sound it has over my Johnny Tig intake.Installed mine today. Followed Kharz' directions and they fit perfectly. I cut nothing. Fitment was on the money. Hood closes easily. They are much louder than I expected. You can hear as soon as the turbo spools, and the blowoff is clear. They look aight. Wish the filters were red personally, but it's allll good.
Total install time being careful and never having done it, 1.5 hours. I feel like I could install them in 45 mins if I had to do it again.
Wow that’s great news ... I need to get back to the drawing board ..... blitz can you post some pics pleaseI saw Blitz setup and looks great. Totally flush. Surprised how much more intake and blow off sound it has over my Johnny Tig intake.
Can you post some pics please of the intakes ??Yes.
That’s a great idea ... I will get to it this weekend lol I prefer not to apply heat to anything I would be the type to melt the shieldAngel, why haven't you simply taken a heat gun and reformed that seal area to sit lower? Remove the seal, heat that area, push down on it lightly with a flat object and hold it there till it cools.
That’s what my wife said ........ lol jkAngel. It's heavy duty heat molded plastic. It can take it. Just make sure you hold it where you want it while it's hot until it cools. Doesn't seem like yours needs that much.
You definitely hear them spool up better.
If no one else is having figment issues like this, I say you demand a replacement. Something in your kit is off badly. That gap is unacceptable.Guys went an adjusted the intakes and took the rubber grommets off and there is better fitment...hood is not completely flush but a lot better
I am not sure if I got a faulty unit that’s possible I was the second person to buy I beleive .... it’s very possible it’s weird no one else is having issue .... need to talk to nick ... i am starting to beleive my intake are off ....If no one else is having figment issues like this, I say you demand a replacement. I’m hesitant now to buy this kit. Might just go Injen.
Good luck.
Yeah I agree .... there defenetely a gap it got better after an hours of adjusting the intakes but still noticible .... not sure need to talk to nick .... it does seem off I agreeOk. So it would appear that they didn't cut your unit far enough back. It looks to be too far over towards the fender.
Nick please take a look at the video I posted ... still having fitment issueAngel do you have any photos of the hood "not being aligned correctly"?
