I think we can all understand the physics behind power, weight, traction, drive train loss. You really need to start a roll race thread.
I heard NHRA is starting a roll race series! Ok just kidding.

Lol hahahaha .... on a side note I do a lot roll racing on the stinger ... well I done a lot of roll racing in the past on my Lexus and love roll racing .... but I agree This is 1/4 mile ....

You guys are special. If you don't understand the difference between ET, 60ft, and trap speeds maybe you shouldn't be posting in a 1/4 mile thread. I tried my best to help explain it, I even gave you videos with pretty cars to look at... According to the logic in this thread, Tonkabob's car is faster than a 1000whp Toyota Supra that runs 12.2 @ 140mph.

All of the big import events these days are 1/2 mile races where winning is based mainly on trap speed at the 1/2 mile. 1/4 mile racing, sadly, has become a little bit 1990s in comparison. We sponsor a few of the 1/2 mile events per year and they draw HUGE crowds including lots of media.

I just can care less about what your saying on this 1/4 thread about roll racing or trap speeds I am focused on 1/4 times in the stinger .... but thanks for taking your time to explain and posting videos of pretty cars

No really they are not. Its who gets across the finish line first which is measured in Time not MPH.
I wish 1/4 racing was a little less popular as the track is always way too full and i don't like waiting 45 minutes between runs.

I get exactly what you are trying to get at, I’ve said it. Trap speed at an 1/8th and 1/4 is a direct indicator of power.

It’s also an indicator of “preceived” power. It’s a 1/4 mile thread and people are only looking at 1/4 mile times. To measure gains, you look at ET’s vs same 60 ft’s.... that’s not what people roll into the thread to see though.

If you wanna see trap speeds and that fast trap losing the race to a quicker car watch NHRA the pro mods.....the quicker car wins every time...and that's the case in every class....not the fastest once again...so look at the pro mod cars after they go thru all the gears and coming to the traps you can see the cars pulling top end speeds and the car that gets there first wins while maybe not posting a faster trap speed....just what Tonkabob sez... elapsed time ..... Wash

oh wait maybe this will help.....lets say Angel and Tonka wanna see whos the fastest car....they don't race each other side by side...lets say Angel runs in one lane with no one next to him...light counts down to green....Angel is sitting there listening to his tunes....oh okay the lights green lets go....so he runs a 18.09 et and that's at 124.5 miles per hour
Tonka's up next...no one beside him...light counts down he has a .01 driver reaction runs a 10.98 at 121.5.........okay racings over and Angel has the faster car....Yippppee Wash

LMAO go ahead please do. We will see which thread has more views and content. This has nothing to do with what you claim to be the the internet standard for racing or what you say all import races are now 1/2 mile its the damn 1/4 mile thread. We stopped talking about 1/4 mile ALL performance and instead we switched again to roll racing. Thats where the issues keep coming up.

I told you before there maybe a following for roll racing, but you continue to muddy up threads. Get a grip Terry. If you start a roll racing thread I hope there is traction. Its not for me since I will be at a DRAG RACING TRACK and the one I will be going to most of the summer is a 1/4 mile track. I dont get what your problem is.
