Drag/Acceleration Kia Stinger 1/4 Mile Times

Honestly with Terry's trap speed and Tonka's 60ft I think it might touch low 11s.
Generally every tenth of a second you subtract from the 60' you subtract .15 seconds from your 1/4 time. Being realistic here, neither of these cars will sniff an 11 second flat without major changes. With a 1.8 60' and 120 mph trap that should be good for an 11.6, to get 11 flat it would need to be as low as a 1.4 60', which would almost certainly break something, like an axle shaft or dif case or worse. What I'm saying is, I don't think any street Stinger will get a 60' that low anytime soon. The first one to hit 11 flat will either have upgraded turbos or NO2 and be trapping 128-135, unless the tuners have something pretty crazy in their sleeves right now :)

That gap from high 11s to high 10s is a lot larger than it looks on paper, diminishing returns the faster you go, anything below 11 flat is SERIOUSLY fast but lets be honest, a big street car with just boltons and a tune running mid 11's is fantastic.

I've run 10.8s @ 122mph before in another car, but with a 1.50 60' lol.

With a 1.80 60' our Stinger would probably knock 0.3ths off our 11.91s, 11.61s. But it would take the RWD car much better tires than what I have to snuff a 1.80.

considering how much our cars weigh, a 1.50 60' would be pretty incredible, that's GTR territory. I can't wait to see how your car launches with those DRs and a prepped track, I'm really hoping you can get 1.8s.

You're right, it's too far off on this platform. Even considering an 11.3 is in the low 11s I just don't think we have the launch to hit it

I just got 295s (Pilot sport 4s) for spring but unfortunately I only have an 1/8th mile track here. I'm hoping for 1.8s (wishful thinking) but I have no idea how well the track is prepped.

In my case i dropped my 60 foot by .05 and ran .06 faster and the other run dropped 60 foot by .06 and ran .05 faster in 1/4 at the same mph. I suspect the 1.5x rule is if you add power to drop your 60 foot. In my case my car just decided to launch today.

What exactly is the limitation with the stinger? Is it the launch control or the mechanical limitations? Or a combination of the two? Is the preset LC limit set by the factory's recognition of their mechanical limits?

And @Tonkabob I commented on your YouTube for more. Show everything even under the hood. Your leading the charge with @Terry@BMS I am watching for full coverage just as I did when @TorkMe was on top. I know credit goes to Tork for tune but he is busy making things go faster so I would like more coverage from a personal consumer perspective. I also have the awd and would love to see inside the cockpit for tips on running the 1/4mile.

My car is pretty simple. I give most the credit to the Tork tune followed by Johnny Tig intake. The intake is just a hunch as i can't prove it is any better than any other intake. (but it did drop my times more than my FMIC) I'm not selling anything so I'm not making a bunch of videos. If my wife comes to the track in the spring I'll get a video of my 11.6 run ;) I use LC like everyone else, floor it and go. No spin with the AWD. My car does seem to have a split launch personality, sometimes reving to 2250 and other times 2450. I have seen 2450 in the data logs. My catback is a modified Ark with quieter mufflers, not straight through. No magic there. Here are a few pics my FMIC and Intake with scoops.

We do need to knock off that 12.29 time and get the entire top 10 in the 12.1s and lower.

Tell South Carolina to stop raining and maybe I'll join the list. I think we're over 2ft more rainfall than average this year

Got a new best 0-60 this morning after a visit to Tork for a tune update yesturday.
