Haha new tips? Won't hurt. :)

For posterity did a couple of runs last night on my usual track with the -0.80% slope, similar weather and fuel to the 11.91 run I last did there. Was hoping the sport springs would increase aerodynamics resulting in higher trap speeds. But they didn't. Traps still around ~120.7mph. Launching was no better either. On the plus side, the Stinger looks a lot better ~1" lower, so not a total waste. :)

Will the springs shorten the life of the oem struts ??

I did it just for looks because I hate the 4x4 look of stock Stingers. I was hoping you'd notice a difference in speeds. But you're right, it definitely improves the looks, even if it gives a slight reverse rake to the car.

60 foot times the same?
I thought it would hurt traction due to less weight transfer and that would more than wipe out any aero gains.

I can’t seem to search this specific thread. I want to see if anyone has figured a way to burn the tires before rolling up to the light at the track. Or what r some of ur methods before line up?

AWD im assuming right? If so I think if you pull up to the burn out box properly. Dont let the fronts hit the box and back in. Hold the brakes, initiate acceleration, and slightly release breaking pressure until the rears start to spin. At least thats how it worked with other AWD cars. Not sure how the AWD with LSD will do trying this.

awd skip the box, no burnout is needed and you don't want to get the tires wet. Go around the box and just line up it'll hook.

I agree its not necessary, but who doesnt want to hit the burnout box before a run lol.

Seems more or less the same all around to me.

That's a terrible idea with street tires. A lot of tracks don't let you touch the box unless you have slicks

Well then you're destined to fail. Because people have been fighting about tunes since before I tuned my first car in 1995.
Terry...you lil young pup:).....I was fighting tunes on my 1970 454 vette...with the dreaded quadrajet carb.
that year Chevy had a 5 yr 50k mile warranty on the engine/drivetrain.....and the drag strip had box stock class....damn I wish I still had all those trophies I won.....Ill never forget this kind mans name his name was Charlie Nemic service manager at Doran Chevy.....the stingray was an auto....powerbrake like a fool cut a good light and take the trophy home......show up at Doran Chevrolet on Monday with a messed up tranny....get er fixed or replaced....wash rinse repeat.....the 5th trannie cost me a case of bourbon and no more warranty work ........when you think back to muscle cars....my 454 was badazz going maybe 103 thru the traps....cant remember the ets high 13's maybe? Now look....these lil 4 and 6 bangers runnin lights out.....my we have come a long way :) Wash

Great idea we can keep the discussion with times here...and the other one strictly times....

They could just give me moderator permissions and i could update the first page. Unless the thread was locked people would still reply.
