What does a slope of -.99% mean and what would be the difference between a flat road? At what point is slopento high to be considered?

It means that it's literally 0.01th away from being disqualified due to excessive slope as 1.00% or higher is invalid. Optimizing slope is all part of the game of getting the best dragy times. Going to a 0% slope would probably slow it down ~1mph on traps, ET maybe ~0.05.

I'll be here to help you along the way. I will say this is pretty aggressive tuning. I'm using map8 w/ an 85 additive. And because it's 55F outside to keep timing and boost targeting under control I'm using JB4 IAT spoofing to raise the ECU observed temperature just enough to get the stock boost target high enough to prevent throttle closure.
Boosts levels dont appear high at all which is good right. How high did you hit doesnt even look like you came close to 20 psi

Ahh got ya, so draggy would consider anything above 1% negative slope invalid. Must have took you a while to find that spot lol.

So right now I have intakes, DP secondary, muffler deletes, and I will have an intercooler soon. I ran 12.3 at the track on map 2 .... I will now have the intercooler and try map 3 .... and of course the new firm ware .... can I run map 5 or is that too aggresive ??

18psi in cold weather is a lot more oxygen density than 18psi in warmer weather. On the factory parts I don't think it has much more power in it. But, if that 60' could get down to 1.90 or something it would be an 11.7s run.

Sort of luck of the draw. Normally this track is around -0.8%. I started around 2 feet further up than usual and hit it perfect lol.

It's all about the octane. Going to use E30, race gas mix, pump gas with octane booster, or just pump gas?

Not saying someone would but could someone put the draggy in one of those stay flat car seats or something similar to trick the slope on your draggy or is does it know based on the gps signal? Or even prop it up slightly on the front end to get a positive slope while actually going downhill?

I am thinking E30 .... I need to make sure I mix it right thou ...will that work ?? What do you recommend ?

E30 no problem, should be good to go on v7 firmware and map5. Just email me or post a log when it's up and running and we can confirm it's looking good before you head out to the track.

Awesome thank you sir .... questions how the hell do I send a log lol never done it ... and do you prefer a log taking off from standstill and wot from a roll?? Or both

It uses a relative difference in slope based on the position where it started. In theory you could hold it low and raise it high during a run and trick it a couple feet. But a couple feet over 1320 is only 0.15% and that would be a huge headache to race a car and worry about it losing line of sight signal, etc. Ultimately as I always say numbers depend on the credibility of those sharing them. I always leave the dragy in ledge between the windshield and the dash as I've found it doesn't move much during a run there.

Check the how to use JB4 mobile app video, it shows you in there. On the log whatever you're looking at. Rolling is fine initially. 40-90 on a safe private track for example.

Once I get intercooler I will make some runs and send you the logs ... then you can give me your input ... right now is winter in Illinois and it’s cold not sure if that will affect anything ... but as soon I install everything and get the logs I will email to you. Thanks Terry!!

That's a bummer, but I guess draggy times are more for fun vs a track slip. I'm still glad I'll have one tomorrow to test out. I'll have to find a more safe and reliable private track like you found. Is yours still a public access road that they clean and take care of? The one I normally use is but it's no where near private.

Cold is better. We can run draggy times as well on the same strip if you have one locally close to you that we can use safely. I may have a big upgrade this week besides all the new bolt ons we talked about Angel.

It's a really really long private and closed off driveway. ;)

Terry I tried to email a log to myself and it says that I need to set mail ?? What does that mean ? I don’t see and option on the app to set my email ?
