defaults to comfort mode, how you do lock sport mode?

Interesting, that was something I was trying to figure out too. I want to lock mine on Custom, but it doesn't allow you to do that from the custom driver settings and I haven't seen it in the configuration. Kinda annoying for sure.

i figure it has something to do with federal regulations for efficiency or mileage. if you put in other modes the mpg may go down, etc.

Ya I think it's annoying the car does not save driver settings. I'd like to keep it in Sport Mode, Start/Stop off and Autohold on. Also it drives me nuts that there isn't a dedicated manual mode, every time you come to a stop it goes back into "D" and I have to shift down to put it back into "1" so I can decide when to shift into "2". Great car nonetheless... just some small tweaks really.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Can't by option/button in car, or by dealer? Many car dealers can set different defaults (like power off on halts etc).

Maybe they'll change this in a future update. I know with my wife's vehicle (Dodge Durango), we could never get it to stay in eco mode. The setting wouldn't stick. We went to the dealership for an oil change one day and there were updates available for the computer systems and then the setting stuck. Stuff like that can probably be changed if enough people complain about it.

Does it at least remember your last custom settings? Or do you have to go through and reset all of your custom settings each time you switch to custom?

It definitely remembers the custom settings, but I have to switch from Comfort to Custom every time I start the car which sucks donkey butt.

You're probably right. I plan on keeping mine stock though when I finally get one so I hope they fix this by then.
Considering this possibility - I wouldn't be all that surprised if we saw something pop up on eBay or Amazon that allowed you to lock sport mode (alone, with no tune attached)...

I'm not sure you will see this, but the 2018 model's shifter, when in drive, can be pushed to the left locking the car in manual mode the entire drive.

They fixed this in the 2022 model. It now stays in manual mode until you manually switch it back to drive.

My BMW didn't lock in sport mode either.

My SS 1LE on the other hand...it does :)
