I’ve got this, there is the plug for the heating function, will give it a go later today to confirm.

And I see the separate plug for the heater on the new core.

What’s the trick to getting the center airbag / cover off? I found a video is something sliding into the holes in the side (long flat blade screwdriver I assume). Is it a twisting or front to back/back to front movement to pop it out? No clear documentation I’ve found.

There are holes to stick the thin screwdriver in to pop the airbag unit out, the guy at a shop did it for me so not too sure what he did exactly.

Well, yesterday evening I washed and waxed it in preparation for the first rains here in a very long time. I live in N. Cali and the smoke from the fires really did some damage to the appearance of my precious. I’ve waxed my car after having a professional detailer clay/polish/wax the car. Like RIGHT after. We all cray dogg.

Nope. Part of the allure of this (and more so with the mustang) was the “hobby” aspect. Doing things on your own car. How many times does a dealer / shop f up our cars. This way, I know it was done right or who to blame.

Keep in mind I wasn’t a car guy growing up... so the mustang expanded my horizon and taught me a lot.

Put on my winter shoes and gave my Stinger a wash.

Also put in my K&N drop ins and swapped the reverse lights for LEDs.

Next up mod will be the Big Mouth intakes once those arrive.

Finished the install. Not too bad. Took me a long time as I took my sweet time and didn’t force anything.

A lot of screws (takes notes on where they are).

As far as the air bag removal (second step after battery disconnect)... long flat blade screwdriver. You basically are pushing a retaining wire that runs around the airbag (sides/bottom) out of a L clip.

As to the question of the heated steering... works fine after.

Pics are when I “thought” I was done.

Yep. Forgot to actually install the center retaining bolt. Lol. Pretty important detail.

Only took a few minutes now I know th trick to take the airbag back off.

Also... center bolt is a 21mm if anyone cares.

Asserted My Babe as a GT2. I love the idea of it, not sure what I think of the application of the idea. The 2's cutout arount the "T" in the GT is sharper then I expected. Think I will leave it on for a bit and see if it grows on me.
