GM really dropped the ball with the styling on the Holden. Looks like something that should be painted yellow and picking up passengers from the air port.
No butt hurt comments from the Chevy crowd yet. I'll check back in few days to laugh at all the "it's still just a Kia" replies.

This clip validates why 18% of new AU Stinger purchases are Holden Commodore trade ins/former owners such as myself.
The Stinger is a worthy successor.
That video has lead me to conclude that the best modification you can bring to your car is to win the coin toss and be the one honking the starting horn .
The SS was on my shortlist but got discontinued right before I could buy one. Coming from a Camaro, it made perfect sense since they are practically the same car underneath. But I agree with @Kamauxx about the styling. When I brought my wife to the dealership to show it to her, she pointed to the Camaro and then the SS and said: "you want to trade this...for that?... I'll be in the car."
But what a sweet sound that V8 makes. I miss the exhaust burble/decel pop.

I happen to like the SS quite a bit and had they not stopped production when they did and they were still available new I might well be driving an SS instead of the Stinger.

I had an SS and loved it, but it had more quirks then the Stinger. Stinger is the better daily IMO since it is quieter and a little more comfortable. I love V8's though and miss that startup every morning. If the SS took the bumps a little better and was a bit quieter it would have been my perfect car. The 6 speed auto was a bit slow in manual mode as well but I hear a tune would improve it a lot. The SS had more room in the back seat even for a 6ft + adult. Even if I fixed the issues with the SS I did not want to drive it in the winter and babied it too much. I sold it to let someone else enjoy it and got a truck. My wife is the one who daily drives the AWD Stinger GT.
I raced a SS from a rolling start was open road wasn't sure they were up to it I'll assume it was stock because the GT2 kept up with it no problem but again I don't know if they had it floored. I got a head nod and a thumbs up from the driver.
This thread brings back memories of those GM Aussie brand crossovers... I had initially planned to buy a G8 GXP. It was good-looking, came in a 6 speed, had plenty of power and moddability.... But alas, they discontinued it by shutting down the whole Pontiac brand.
I would have walked so many of you in a modded G8 GXP, lol Sadly, G8 GXPs are hard to find as I believe only ~1800 of them were ever sold.
