Carrera S bites the dust

So today was sunny nice and cool...got me some alky and premium and was doing a lil shopping and what not...just lookin for trouble I guess? Today I got far enough away from the police station to have some fun.....Im cruising down the divided six lane nice windy road and oh looky here comes a Carrera S screaming out of a parking lot which brings him up even to me...so I matt it along side him as does he......and I put a lotta car lengths on him......we end up both making a right turn to a red light with me and him,and a clear nice road ahead. Green light...we both nail it...im on Map 3...no contest...I put him away so bad I felt sorry for him....Nah.......I slowed down he pulled up then fell back in my lane to see what kind of car smoked him twice........Porsche...its whats for lunch

Since the first run was I guess from 20/30 really don't know cause I was watching him slide around the corner from the other side of the divided roadway on to my side of the road and to my door just a about....I was watching the dust fly off the road from his exhausts,so I knew he was seriously on it....my tires got heated up on the run from the roll luckily.... no slippage from the dig....Daaamn I love Map 3.... Wash

Lol and that’s what they do to me too! Then they hang back like their tail is between their legs.

I second Todds opinion and think you should smoke him too. They are equally matched to us stock, but map 3 will give you almost a 200wtq advantage so you shouldn’t have a problem. Just make sure those tires are warmed up so you can get a jump off the line, and good luck.

And yes the Stinger is just so much fun I go on the hunt for something to play with daily.

Hi Balls Happy thanksgiving! I run 93 with 4 gals of e85....the old joke about watching your gas gauge go down.....I had just filled up...after the second run Im "seeing" the gauge down almost 1/8 of a tank...you know what I call that? Cheap thrills Wonder what year the Porsche was? Im thinking I saw a red S ...is there a Carrera with a red S logo? or did he rebadge?...lol.....and at what speed does the little spoiler pop up.....cause it was up when he came sliding up on my door....maybe our rolling run started faster than I thought cause those tails don't pop up at real low speeds?.... Not indicating which year is like saying “I raced a Porsche and won” Carrera S has ranged from low 300 hp in first 996 models to 420 hp in newest 991.2 turbo Carrera S model. New 991.2 S with PDK Carrera S isn’t beatable even with tune. Older Carrera S with manual should be pretty easy to beat. They were not known as dragsters. Lol! Somone with poor shifting skills in manual also would be pretty easy to beat as NA 911 didn’t have much torque. My new 911 Carrera T is faster than my Stinger with a tune but not buy much.

that's not true. The Granturismo is about as fast as a stock Stinger, Trofeo is faster, Quattroporte is faster, I'm just talking about the top performance trims here on the latest models.

The new Quattroporte GTS has 523 hp, I mean come on now. A moderately modded Stinger could easily take one though, they're heavy.

Maserati themselves don't advertise anything faster than 4.6 to 60 including the GTS...Until you look at the Levante Trofeo. Holy shet. Also I specifically said CAN and not WILL. Aside from that monstrosity of an SUV pretty much anything else is at least within striking distance of a stock Stinger but not going to be a blowout either way.

Actually they are all about as quick as a Stock Stinger GT, even the 523hp GTS.

well above someone said the Stinger was faster than all Maseratis, not "faster than some, almost as fast as others". I don't want people here thinking their Stock GT can smoke every Maserati they come across. If you roll up on a GTS, sure you can keep it close up to 100, but that thing is a good bit faster at higher speeds and you will get walked.

Get the JB4 and it's a different ball game
