I'm thinking of getting a set of winter wheels and tires but don't want to put the TPMS sensors in them. My question is, can the warning message be turned off or will I have it blinking at me all winter.

AFAIK there is no way to disable the light.
I'd be ok with just a light showing, but I don't want the picture showing all 4 tires up on display all the time.

I'm running winters without the TPMS and the warnings calm down after a minute or so, then just have a steady orange light in the top left corner of the dash.

As soon as find my black electrical tape I plan on sticking a bit on the plastic cover, its angled so cannot avoid the warning light from all angles. Doesn't really bother me and happy that all modes work without issue (traction or stability can be disabled)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Odd. I’ve been running my winters with no sensors for several weeks with no warnings. The page with tire pressures just says “drive to show values” (or something to that effect). No other noises or lights.

Have you been driving fast enough?

Light is top right and is a constant reminder of the cold temps, his car is awesome for Canada!

When I decided to get winters, I thought for a minute about not getting TPMS, but decided to bite the bullet (my brother - a real "car-guy" - doesn't use them on his winters said "meh, you don't really need 'em"). Got the TireRack package and had them installed for $50/per. I figure it's good piece of mind, and keeps me from having to manually check pressure all the time in the crappy/cold winter weather. My $.02.
