Vibrations at steady speed?

On the topic of the nanny features, I disabled all my safety features to see if it changed anything and sadly it made no difference.

I am confident that Kia could have chosen better AS tires when the issue of road noise is at the top of the list. No car is going to be free of road noise. But I feel that my Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires are the quietest tires I have ever ridden on. When it comes time to switch to winter tires, I am hoping that I don't notice a dramatic increase in road noise!

No modifications. Car has 2100 miles on it, had about 23 miles upon delivery. Issue is not balance/tire related (have had tires balanced & completely replaced at this point). Haven't done an alignment because tracking seems okay. Sound varies with wheel speed and is worse when turning (e.g. taking a highway onramp spiritedly makes the sound louder).

Yeah stock tires are quiet. pilotsport... it cant be tires. thats interesting. maybe roads are bad.. im out of thoughts. hope for the best! Sorry couldnt help!

I'm having this same issue after switching from PS4S to DWS 06 all seasons. I've had a balance done twice now and the vibration still persists. It's most noticeable in the steering wheel, but the rears are doing it as well as I can feel it in my legs. Debating on whether I should take it somewhere else and have it done again or if it's really the characteristics of the tire.

I had this on my car with the PS4S summer tires from the first day I owned it, but very, very slight around 80 mph. It was so slight that I told myself that I wouldn't worry about it until I replaced the tires as I guessed it was the tires.

Fast forward half a year, I got aftermarket wheels (kept stock tires). When I first got them installed, the vibrations were 10 times worse. I got it rebalanced a second time and they were still there. I was thinking O man I guess the tires really were bad and the lighter weight wheels can't dampen them as much. Well I went to a second shop, got them rebalanced a third time, and it is perfect now. No vibrations at all at any speed.

It is not the tires, it is not the roads. It is possibly a combination of the car being very sensitive to imbalance, and also maybe Kia's casting process quality on their stock rims is not top notch, making it more difficult to get a good balance.

This coincides with my initial thought that it was an improper balance, especially after my 2nd time back to the dealership with the car because they never offered me an invoice for the work (even though it was free). I thought it seemed fishy that I didn't get a copy of the work that was done. It made me think they were either hiding something or they never even took the wheels back off to begin with since the car felt absolutely no different. I'll be taking it to a different shop this week.
