I made my offer for the 2018 GT1. We went back and forth and i am sticking with my OTD price. We communicated by emails and texts. The sales guy said he will give me the price i want if i can come into the dealership. He tried it twice. I told him i am very busy and i want a written document that is the price we agreed on. I need it so when i do come in there is no more numbers game. Its frustrating to me in dealing with him and the others. They would not answer my question for a long time sometimes .

Always be prepared to walk away. The dealers will bend if they know your serious. Tell them you will buy elsewhere if they dont agree to your terms. They will come around as its end of month and they want the sales in.

It was a he for now. I am still dealing with him. I attempted to have him put the quote over email twice. He only said he accepted my offer and told me to come into the dealership. I was skeptical about that. I am a very busy man and i dred spending time in a dealership. So i just want to come see my car then sign the paper and leave.

I dont know if i can believe the service you received from there or at any Kia dealership. What i got from kia salesman are "come in". Sounds like you just bought a car from Porsche dealership.

that’s funny the Porsche dealership across the street from there. But yea his name is David Kim. U should ask for him.

David Kim was the shit. He didn’t drop it off tho some other guy did. I signed all the paperwork in back of the car. It was dope felt like a boss lol.

Here is my update on purchasing the GT1 from this dealership. My sales advisor name is Andy. He agreed to give me the price i want but i have to come in. I asked him twice to send me the quote through email but he insisted i come in. Why didnt he just do what i asked him? So now the car was sold. Before that i texted him but he didnt get back to me. I got the info from another guy. My experience of shopping from here is stressful. I probably wont deal with them again. The advice i got from another salesman is to have them write down the price they quoted. Dont waste time going into the dealership without it.

So did you buy or not?

Plenty more dealers, plenty more stingers, if you wait they will come......:D
To be honest i would take the cheapest deal from the dealer and shop around face to face. Dealers are scared of offerring you something in writing. In Oz most salesman have to get the ok from there sales managers before they say ok to your offer so emailing although it saves time for you is not the way to go here. Rock up at a dealership say the wife said I cant buy it unless its this price and see what they say. If you blame someone else for your limits dealers cant argue, and as i said before if they wont agree just walk away and say you will go to the next dealer and ask them. You will soon see a change in attitude when you do that. Works every time i have bought a car.
Yes they will squirm and try to lock in extras that you pay for but dont fall for it. If they do that then say you want free mats, splash guards , tinting and the like to counteract the price. Oh and make sure you get a free tank of gas too!

No i cant it was sold. I contacted my sale guy about coming in to buy the car. He said he was off and the manager who approved the deal was off too. The car was sold the same day. I trusted to wait for him the next day.

Go somewhere else this dealer is a twit. Can you have the cash on you to pay for the price for the car on the day? That sets youre limit too, flash the cash, even a good deposit and they will pay attention very quickly as they think you’re a serious buyer.

The only other issue now is end of month has gone and sales guys are not in rush to do great deals to get the sales quota for the month. You may have to wait a few weeks.

They sold the car on 10/30. I bet they sold it at a lower quote than mine. It cost me the buy because i decide to wait on my sale guy to come back from his day off. He convinced me that i cant get that deal because the manager who approved it wasnt there. I bet its all a lie. Oh well. Maybe its not meant to be.

What is the msrp on the car, what was the agreed upon otd price? Are you working with another dealership? Seems like the amount for November incentives are not known yet.

I haven't had much luck with any of the dealerships down in the LA/OC area... Galpin Kia was treating me well, and I was close to buying, but then they decided to close their Kia dealership.

Anyone have any good experience with LA or OC area Kia dealers?

It was a 2018 GT1. We agreed on 41k OTD. And yes i checked Kia website but there is none right now.

November incentives are out.... looks like it's the same as Oct. 41K OTD is a good price for a GT1 (with Drive Assists?). But for same price, looks like can get a MY2019 GT or 2018 GT1...... decision, decisions...

It does not have drive assist. I prefer the GT1 mostly because of the premium audio system. The other options are good too. How much do you think i should pay for 2018 GT2 OTD price and 2019 GT1 ?

I'm in the market to get one before the end of the month. I was hoping for higher incentives for November, but looks to be a no go. In SoCal, look at Citrus Kia. It's looking like better deals in Bay/SF area. I'm considering flying up north, if better deals can be reached there, and driving it down.
