New owner in Michigan

Howdy all, just wanted to drop in an say hello. Last Saturday I bought a Micron Blue Stinger GT2 with AWD. The car came with the factory 19" wheels which I wanted, however living in Michigan I knew the Pilot Sport 4 tires would be a death wish this winter. I didn't want to go full snow tires because I wanted a nice ride when the roads were clear. I bought a new set of Cooper CS5 Ultra tires in the factory 22/45/18 size and had them mounted on some cheap Discount Tire "Vision" wheels.

Hi. I can't ditch my OEM 19" rims. I want to fully enjoy my Stinger year-round. So, Nitto Motivo A/S UHP for me. My Michelin summers are now on the shed shelves.

I have a Sunset Yellow that I bought back last February, but it was repainted improperly so I am in the process of getting a replacement. I'm driving around in a black Sorento for now with a FeldmanAuto.com sticker on the back window Where in Walled Lake are you?

Well if you saw a yellow one, it was me, up until about late August when the car went in for the repaint. Did you get your car at Feldman Kia in Novi or someplace else?

Welcome, fellow Michigan owner. I'm over in the GR/Rockford area. I've had my GT2 AWD since early May. As far as I know, I might be the only GT owner in W. Mich. Just this past Saturday, saw the only other Stinger that I've seen in the wild - a silver base model (I was leaving a bar after the UM/MSU game). BTW - ordered and received a winter wheel/tire set from TireRack. Their recommended package: Michelin Ice X on some lower-end Sport Edition wheels, in black. They look pretty good, and I figure they're good enough for schlepping around in the winter when there's higher chances to do wheel damage. Haven't put 'em on yet, but the way this fall is going it won't be long. Interested to see how they'll work out.

Welcome fellow Michigander! I bought my Aurora Black GT2 in late February and live in Royal Oak. I’ve seen one other Stinger in the wild, a Micro Blue GT parked in the Noble Fish parking lot in Clawson back in July.

I am up near Lansing (DeWitt) with my red '18 GT2. Got it in early February. I drive it back and forth to Ann Arbor a couple of days each week. I too went with the Nitto all seasons on the OEM staggered wheels for late fall through to mid spring. They are doing great in the snow we have been having. Not as good as the true winters on the WRX, but good enough -- gets any worse and I will use the Avalanche.
