Man. That is a sick time if it's legit. I wonder who has that claim out there.
 
I wonder what his MPH were. Hopefully it's bal and he can clue us in.
 
Maybe he meant to say 12.2. 11.2 is a huge difference from 11.98 or what ever the other fastest time was.

I dont think you can do that with stock turbos, love to see a slip or video before I pull out the credit card.
I would love to see the slip as well, but I think this is definitely feasible on stock turbo. Highest RWHP on stock turbo that we know if is 485 with the lap3 pro, that's plenty high enough for at least mid 11's with a good launch.

Yeah hitting some torque limit i suspect. I was data logging and boost was fine but throttle position dropped to 25-30% for 4-5 seconds.
My boost is up from 17-18 to 19-20. Torque is crazy now. Felt a bit of torque steer at 40 mph when going from cruise to 3/4 throttle. Love it!
My 0-60 dropped .18 with the tune update so just need to fix 70 plus mph.

Lap 3 just had a car run 12.13 and a 12.19 in an AWD. Intakes, downpipes, secondary delete, FMIC, and piping.

So many modifications! I’m at 12.4 with JB4 (93 octane and Map2) and Intake. Maybe I can get to those numbers without all those modifications.

Have slips or links to slips? Is the 12.13 RWD?
If so second fastest RWD and fastest AWD by .2.

I can't link it. Same AWD car ran both times back to back. It is on LAP3's facebook page. I should be going to an 1/8th mile track Wednesday to see where my AWD is.

I bet the biggest difference comes from the DPs deleting the cats.

for an 11.2 you would probably need slicks and some weight reduction, it would definitely be pushing it though. With a trap of 120 mph, that should be good for around 11.5 if they can figure out how to get that car to launch harder than a 1.9 60'.

I have to concur with others that running an 11.2 1/4 mile is a major leap from anything else. That's a 600+HP endeavor right there moving 4000lbs.

If it does turn out to be legit, it's either that person in Korea that fitted bigger turbos, or they have bolt ons, a chip, and did a 100 shot of nitrous for that one run :eek:
 
There's someone else claiming 11.5 1/4 mile times on the n54tech forums. Maybe we just have some slow Stingers :).

I'm probably heading to the track again this weekend, I have the SSR DPs in. I'm honestly not optimistic I'll beat my last slip but we'll see.

Can anyone chime in on the rumored transmission flash? I've read it's distinct from the static shift update (which didn't apply to GT2s).

Sounds about right for the mods! Congrats to the drivers! Let's see logs of those runs to see what sort of boost, timing, and air/fuel ratio they are pushing going down the track. :)

I’ll be heading to do some cool weather runs to try to get lower that 12.4. I’ll defi send my logs. I also wonder if the transmission update Kia did will have any affect.
